    • Jo Adell strikes out four times Wednesday in loss
Jo Adell went 0-for-5 with four strikeouts on Wednesday in the Angels’ loss to the Phillies.

Advice: So much for the whole cutting back on strikeouts storyline. Adell appears to have made some legitimate strides in the plate skills department early on this season, but he looked a bit overwhelmed in this one as he fanned twice in three at-bats against Phillies ace Zack Wheeler before tacking on a pair of additional punch outs later in the contest. He’s been on a tear the last two weeks with three homers and two steals in 12 contests since April 17. Rotoworld Today, 4:08 pm

    • Takes seat Wednesday
Chourio is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.

Advice: The rookie will bow out of the lineup for the series finale while Jake Bauers picks up a start in left field alongside Blake Perkins and Sal Frelick. After opening his big-league career by producing hits in 11 of his first 13 games, Chourio has fallen into a massive slump since mid-April. Over his subsequent 14 games, Chourio has gone 6-for-43 (.140) while getting on base at a .196 clip. Rotowire.com Today, 8:51 am

    • Not facing lefty
Carter is out of Tuesday's lineup against the Nationals.

Advice: Carter has now sat out each of the Rangers' last three games against left-handed pitching and seems to be falling into a platoon. Wyatt Langford will draw the start in left while Davis Wendzel will handle DH duties Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:01 pm

    • On bench for matinee
Canha is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.

Advice: Canha started the previous seven games and hit .407 with three doubles and two homers during that span, but he'll take a seat for Tuesday's matinee. Riley Greene will receive a turn at designated hitter while Wenceel Perez gets a start in the outfield. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:36 am

    • Continues hot stretch
Adell went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Monday in a 6-5 win against the Phillies.

Advice: Adell batted out of the No. 2 spot for the first time this season and immediately made his presence felt with a solo homer in the first inning. The long ball was his second in three games, and he's knocked in five runs over that stretch. Adell has been swinging a hot bat since mid-April -- he's reached base safely in 10 straight contests and is slashing .407/.484/.815 with three home runs, eight RBI, five runs and a stolen base during that span. • Jo Adell homers from two hole in Angels’ win
Jo Adell hit his fourth homer Monday as the Angels edged the Phillies 6-5.

Advice: Adell was moved into the second spot in the lineup tonight, and while we’re not sure that’s exactly the right spot for an awful baserunner who strikes out a whole lot, it’s closer to where he belongs than where he was batting previously. Adell remains a flawed player, but he definitely seems to have made some gains again this year after also showing signs of progress last season. Whether he’s a long-term asset in mixed leagues remains to be seen, but he’s worth using right now. Rotoworld Monday, 10:21 pm

    • Batting second Monday
Adell will start in right field and bat second in Monday's contest versus the Phillies.

Advice: It's Adell's seventh straight start in right field and the first time this season that he's batted higher than sixth. The 25-year-old is sporting a .327/.382/.592 batting line with three home runs and five stolen bases over his first 21 games this season and, perhaps most importantly, he's striking out at just a 23.6 percent clip. Adell came into this season with a career 35.4 percent strikeout rate at the major-league level. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:04 pm

    • Launches two more dingers
Senzel went 2-for-6 with two home runs and five RBI during Sunday's 12-9 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Senzel's two home runs came in consecutive innings, with the two-run homer in the fourth cutting the lead to two, then the three-run blast in the fifth giving the Nationals a lead they wouldn't relinquish. The third baseman got off to a late start with the Nationals after fracturing his thumb prior to Opening Day but has found his groove over the last six games, as each of his five hits during that stretch have cleared the outfield fence. The power is legit for Senzel, who was never quite able to put things together during his five seasons in Cincinnati but has been thriving in his first season with Washington. • Senzel homers twice in win over Marlins
Nick Senzel went 2-for-6 with two home runs and five RBI in a win over the Marlins on Sunday.

Advice: Those were Senzel’s first two home runs of the season, but both were well-struck, traveling over 400 feet each time. The 28-year-old is not known for having big-time power and is slashing just .222/.263/.639 on the season with nine RBI, so this was likely just a one-off great day. However, he is playing most days for the Nationals and could be on the radar in the deepest formats. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:42 pm
