      Raisel Iglesias tossed a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday against the Mariners to collect his eighth save of the season.

      Advice: Iglesias was summoned to guard a three-run lead in the final frame and certainly made things interesting by issuing a leadoff walk to Luke Raley before giving up a single to ensuing batter Julio Rodríguez. He set down Mitch Haniger and Jorge Polanco before getting Cal Raleigh to ground out to preserve the victory. The 34-year-old veteran stopper has converted eight of nine save opportunities this season to accompany a sparkling 2.19 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 9/3 K/BB ratio across 12 1/3 innings (13 appearances).       Evan Phillips allowed one run with two strikeouts in the ninth inning against the Blue Jays on Saturday to earn the save.

      Advice: Phillips was summoned with a three-run lead in the ninth against Toronto. He quickly struck out the first two batters, but put a runner on with a throwing error.       Advice: That explains why the 26-year-old southpaw hasn’t progressed as quickly as the Rangers had hoped in his recovery from a sore lower back. He’s expected to miss at least a month’s worth of action.       Bradford (back) was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his rib Friday and is expected to be sidelined for about a month, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

      Advice: The left-hander wasn't progressing as expected in his recovery after landing on the shelf April 14 with lower-back soreness, and a rib stress fracture is the apparent culprit.
