    • Jackson Chourio goes hitless in loss to Cubs
Jackson Chourio went 0-for-2 and was pinch-hit for in the seventh inning as the Brewers were shut out by the Cubs on Sunday afternoon.

Advice: The 20-year-old phenom fouled out to first base in the third inning and bounced into a fielder’s choice in the fifth inning. While he has shown flashes of greatness, it has been a struggle overall through his first 30 games — slashing a troublesome .219/.265/.352 with four homers, 13 RBI, six stolen bases and a 35/7 K/BB ratio over 114 plate appearances. It seems like the Brewers are content sticking with him and letting him take his lumps at the big league level, but if the struggles continue at this rate, eventually something may have to give. • Roberts hopeful for minimum IL stint for Phillips
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters Sunday that the team is hopeful that Evan Phillips (hamstring) will only have a minimum stay on the injured list.

Advice: Phillips was diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring strain and placed on the injured list before Sunday’s game against Atlanta. The right-hander will miss at least two weeks, but it doesn’t sound like a (relatively) long-term injury for the 29-year-old closer. While Phillips is out, Daniel Hudson and Blake Treinen will be the favorites for save chances, with Hudson the most likely to pitch the ninth in the coming days. Rotoworld Today, 11:46 am

    • Out with hamstring strain
The Dodgers placed Phillips on the 15-day injured list Sunday with a right hamstring strain, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.

Advice: The right-hander presumably suffered the injury during Friday's appearance against Atlanta, when he struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning amid a 2-2 tie. Manager Dave Roberts said Phillips' injury is a Grade 1 strain, per David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports, so the absence may not be a lengthy one. Daniel Hudson is the likely favorite to fill in at closer for the Dodgers. Rotowire.com Today, 11:00 am

    • Dodgers place Phillips on IL with hamstring injury
Dodgers placed RHP Evan Phillips on the 15-day injured list with a hamstring strain.

Advice: This is a substantial loss to the Dodgers’ bullpen and for fantasy managers who roster Phillips. The right-hander will be out of action for at least two weeks, and managers will want to make sure to follow for further updates on his status. Blake Treinen was activated off the injured list in the corresponding transaction, and he’s someone who could see save chances with Phillips out. Rotoworld Today, 10:59 am

    • Out of Sunday's lineup
Martinez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay.

Advice: Manager Carlos Mendoza will continue the trend of sitting Martinez for the series finale, which is now the case for the third straight series since the veteran slugger made his season debut April 26. DJ Stewart will bat fifth as the designated hitter Sunday. Rotowire.com Today, 8:13 am

    • J.D. Martinez gets Sunday off against Rays
J.D. Martinez is not in the lineup for Sunday’s tilt with the Rays.

Advice: Martinez went 1-for-8 over the first two games of the series and is hitting .267 with a .624 OPS thus far in his limited action. He’ll get a day off with DJ Stewart hitting fifth as the designated hitter for the Mets on Sunday. Rotoworld Today, 7:55 am

    • Anthony Rizzo sitting Sunday vs. Tigers
Anthony Rizzo is not in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Tigers.

Advice: Rizzo will get a day off a day after hitting a three-run homer. The 34-year-old will get a break with Oswaldo Cabrera getting a start across the diamond at first base and Jon Berti handling third. Rotoworld Today, 7:32 am

    • Receiving Sunday off
Rizzo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.

Advice: Rizzo started the Yankees' first 35 games of the season but will receive his first day off Sunday, giving him two straight days of rest since a team day off follows Monday. Oswaldo Cabrera is stepping in at first base while Jon Berti starts at the hot corner. Rotowire.com Today, 7:30 am

    • Stays hot in win
Pages went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Saturday's blowout win over Atlanta.

Advice: Pages jumped on a hanging four-seamer from Bryce Elder to lead off the bottom of the fourth and launched it 412 feet into the stands in center field for his fourth home run of the season, and second in his last three games. The rookie outfielder also added a single in the contest, giving him back-to-back multi-hit games. Pages has been on an absolute tear at the plate throughout his now 10-game hitting streak, batting .418 (18-for-43) over that stretch with three homers, nine RBI and nine runs scored. He's also tallied at least one RBI in three straight games. Rotowire.com Today, 7:21 am
