    • Hitless in return
Carter started in left field and went 0-for-4 in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Angels.

Advice: Carter returned to the starting lineup for the first time since May 8 after dealing with lower-back soreness. He had served as a pinch hitter in each of the previous two games and played left field for the final six innings of Saturday's 13-inning win. Rotowire.com Monday, 5:42 am
    • Drills 11th home run
Rooker went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer and two runs scored in Sunday's loss to Kansas City.

Advice: Rooker belted a three-run shot in the ninth inning, but it wasn't enough for the Athletics to mount a late comeback. It was his first homer since May 12, though six of his 11 long balls this year have come in May. Rooker is following up his 30-homer breakout season nicely, posting a .281/.358/.578 slash line with 18 extra-base hits and 32 RBI through 151 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:51 pm

    • Brent Rooker hits three-run homer in loss
Brent Rooker went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run on Sunday in a loss to the Royals.

Advice: Rooker’s homer was his 11th of the season and he scalded this one at 111.7 MPH off the bat. There’s still a lot of swing and miss in his game, but a barrel rate right around 15% and hitting third in the surging A’s lineup has turned him into one of the best run producers in the league early this season. • Jake Meyers has three hits in win over Brewers
Jake Meyers went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI in a win over the Brewers on Sunday.

Advice: Meyers has been solid since coming back from injury and is now slashing .302/.368/.522 on the season. Even with Chas McCormick coming off the IL soon, there’s no guarantee that Meyers will be pushed to the bench. He plays good defense in center field and has been performing better than McCormick so far in the young season. The outfield could be a bit of a logjam in the future for the Astros. • Back in lineup Sunday
Carter (back) is in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

Advice: Carter has been available off the bench for the last two games against Los Angeles, but he will return to left field for the first time since May 8 as Texas finishes out its series. The lefty-batting outfielder is slashing .211/.301/.406 with 15 RBI and five home runs across 142 plate appearances so far this season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:47 am
    • Evan Carter returns to lineup against Angels
Evan Carter (back) is hitting seventh and playing left field against the Angels on Sunday.

Advice: Carter will be back in the lineup after missing over a week with a lower-back issue. The rookie has been up-and-down thus far in 2024, but has the talent to be a major fantasy contributor as long as he’s healthy enough to do so. Rotoworld Sunday, 8:34 am
    • Gets break Sunday
Diaz is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against Milwaukee.

Advice: The 25-year-old will cede catching duties to Victor Caratini as the Astros finish out their series against the Brewers. Diaz has started four of the last five games for Houston, going 3-for-18 with three RBI in that stretch. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:31 am

    • Collects three hits in loss
Meyers went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Meyers was the only Astro with multiple hits in the contest, and his fifth-inning solo homer plated one of the team's two runs. The outfielder has gone deep in back-to-back games and has gone 6-for-10 with four RBI over his past three contests. Meyers hit a career-high 10 long balls last season and is already halfway to that mark with five homers through 102 plate appearances this year. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:09 pm

    • Third straight game with homer
Ward went 2-for-6 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-2 extra-innings loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Ward was the only Angel with multiple hits in the 13-inning marathon. He's logged three straight multi-hit games, swatting a homer in each of them to reach 10 long balls on the year. The outfielder is slashing .275/.320/.494 with 28 RBI, 27 runs scored, nine doubles and two stolen bases over 45 contests. Ward continues to hold down a near-everyday role in left field as one of the more productive players on the Angels' roster. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:05 pm
