    • Effective since demotion
Jimenez fired two perfect innings with four strikeouts over his first two relief appearances with Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday and Sunday. He also recorded a save in the latter outing.

Advice: It's a small sample, but the decision to demote Jimenez after a couple of uneven outings earlier in May appears to have been a prudent one. The right-hander has breezed through his first pair of appearances for the Aviators, and if he continues on a similar track, Jimenez could soon find himself back on the big-league roster. • Struggles with command
Wilson allowed two runs on five hits and five walks over four-plus innings in a no-decision Sunday. He struck out one in the loss to St. Louis.

Advice: Wilson walked home a run in the second inning but managed to hold the Cardinals to one run through four frames. He was knocked out of the contest after coughing up a home run to Paul Goldschmidt and a double to Alex Burleson to begin the fifth inning. Wilson has produced a shaky 16:13 K:BB over his last four starts but owns a 2.21 ERA during that span. He's produced a 2.65 ERA through 34 innings this season. Wilson's currently projected to start in Houston next weekend. Rotowire.com 4 minutes ago

    • Optioned to Triple-A
Kranick was optioned outright to Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday.

Advice: After Kranick was designated for assignment by the Mets on Monday, the right-hander cleared waivers and he'll now report to Triple-A. The 26-year-old has made two starts with Syracuse this season, producing a 2.57 ERA and 1.71 WHIP with two strikeouts over seven innings. Rotowire.com 4 minutes ago

    • Three hits, homer
Wisdom went 3-for-4 with a solo home run during Sunday's 5-4 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Wisdom reached four times during the extra-inning win and belted a solo homer off Aroldis Chapman in the 10th frame. With Cody Bellinger and Seiya Suzuki healthy, starts will likely come at a premium for Wisdom despite slashing .321/.441/.679 across 34 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com 5 minutes ago

    • Lands another W
Neris (3-0) picked up the win Sunday against the Pirates, allowing two hits and one walk over a scoreless inning. He struck out one.

Advice: Neris took the mound in the top of the ninth during a 2-2 ballgame and fired off a scoreless inning, eventually earning the win after the Cubs put up three runs in the 10th. Since taking over closing duties from Adbert Alzolay, Neris has converted all six of his save chances and has earned a pair of wins. Over his last nine appearances, Neris owns a 2.00 ERA and a 7:7 K:BB in 9.0 innings. Rotowire.com 9 minutes ago
    • Plays first two rehab games
Diaz (calf) went 0-for-3 with two walks over his first two rehab games with Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday and Sunday.

Advice: Diaz has yet to play a full game, but he did take a trio of plate appearances as the designated hitter when kicking off the rehab assignment Friday. He then progressed to playing on defense Sunday, logging five innings at third base in the win over Round Rock. Diaz will probably continue to be given a day off between games for the time being, given his age and the length of time it's taken for him to be able to return to game action. • Gets going with home run
Bogaerts went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sundays 4-0 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Bogaerts gave the Padres some extra breathing room with a solo shot off Gus Varland in the fifth. The long ball was his first since April 21, his first RBI since April 25 and his first hit in 17 at-bats since May 6. Bogaerts is still searching for a spark offensively this season, as he's slashing just .211/.264/.301 with three homers, 12 RBI, 22 runs and a 12:36 BB:K in 178 plate appearances. • Snaps skid with homer
Goldschmidt went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Sunday's win over the Brewers.

Advice: Goldschmidt needed Sunday's performance in a big way; he entered the contest riding a 1-for-32 skid. He finally snapped out of it with a solo homer in the fifth inning, followed by a game-tying RBI single in the sixth. However, he also struck out twice, giving him an uncharacteristic 2:15 BB:K over his last eight games. On the year, Goldschmidt is now slashing .197/.280/.279 with six extra-base hits and 13 RBI through 38 games. Rotowire.com 12 minutes ago
    • Looks like himself
Hendricks didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Pittsburgh, allowing one run on two hits and four walks across five innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Hendricks was placed on the IL on April 23 with a lower back strain, a move that followed an extremely uncharacteristic start to the season. Prior to the injury, Hendricks stumbled to a 12.00 ERA and a 2.10 WHIP with eight homers allowed across 21.0 innings. Considering Hendricks had allowed 28 combined home runs over 221.1 innings the past two seasons and owned a 3.54 career ERA before 2024, Sunday's start was much more in line with Hendricks' averages. While one solid start doesn't mean fantasy managers should expect the Hendricks of old moving forward, it's a positive sign amid a not-so-positive season for Hendricks. He's lined up for a rematch with the Pirates on Friday. Rotowire.com 15 minutes ago
