    • Stellar in second rehab outing
Woo (elbow) fired 3.1 scoreless innings in a rehab start for Triple-A Tacoma against El Paso on Saturday, allowing two hits and recording six strikeouts.

Advice: Woo was impressive for the second time in as many rehab starts, locating 31 of his 49 pitches for strikes and keeping his ERA unblemished over 6.1 rehab innings overall. Per MLB.com, Woo threw all five of his pitches and topped out at 95 mph; according to general manager Justin Hollander, the plan is for the young right-hander to make at least one more rehab start with a goal of reaching 85 pitches, after which activation from the injured list would be considered. • Tosses seven scoreless frames
Morton allowed four hits and one walk while striking out six batters over seven scoreless innings in a no-decision against Cleveland on Saturday.

Advice: Morton and Cleveland starter Tanner Bibee both hurled seven scoreless frames in the contest, subjecting both pitchers to a no-decision despite their impressive individual efforts. Morton notched his second straight quality start, and he appears to be coming back around after allowing 10 runs over 11.1 frames across a pair of outings April 8 and April 14. The veteran right-hander continues rolling along as an effective rotation piece in his 17th MLB season -- through five starts, he's posting a 3.60 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 28:11 K:BB over 30 innings. • Charlie Morton gets hard-luck no-decision vs. CLE
Charlie Morton didn’t allow a run in seven innings of work with eight strikeouts, but still didn’t qualify for a decision during his start Saturday against the Guardians.

Advice: He allowed four hits with one walk. Morton was outstanding, but unfortunately, Tanner Bibee was just as good and blanked the Atlanta lineup while both were in the game. Morton has looked much better over his last two starts, as he’s allowed just two runs — both last Saturday against the Rangers — while striking out a dozen over 13 innings of work. The 40-year-old hurler will take a 3.60 ERA into his start against the Dodgers on Friday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:18 pm

    • Swats homer in win
Mountcastle went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 7-0 win over the Athletics.

Advice: The long ball was Mountcastle's first hit in three games since he recovered from a minor knee issue. He posted multiple hits in seven of the 11 games prior to the injury. The first baseman has been solid this year, slashing .299/.364/.483 with three homers, 12 RBI, 15 runs scored and seven doubles over 99 plate appearances, though he has yet to attempt to steal a base. • Bryan Woo fans six in rehab start at Triple-A
Bryan Woo (elbow) looked sharp in his second minor league rehab start at Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday, piling up six strikeouts over 3 1/3 innings of scoreless baseball.

Advice: The 24-year-old right-hander allowed just two hits on the night and didn’t walk a batter, throwing 31 of his 49 total pitches for strikes. The M’s will likely want him to make at least one additional rehab start to get a bit more stretched out before he’s an option to return to their starting rotation, but the time is drawing near. He’s worth a look in any fantasy leagues where he may have been jettisoned. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:38 pm

    • Yordan Alvarez homers twice as Astros top Rockies
Yordan Alvarez crushed a pair of home runs and drove in three as the Astros walloped the Rockies 12-4 in Mexico City on Saturday night.

Advice: The 26-year-old slugger victimized Rockies’ right-hander Cal Quantrill in the third inning, demolishing a 461-foot (108.8 mph EV) two-run shot that gave the Astros a 3-2 lead that they would never relinquish. He also tacked on a 461-foot (113.0 mph) solo shot off of Tyler Kinley in the ninth inning. Alvarez finished the night 3-for-5 and is now hitting .283/.358/.509 to go along with seven homers and 17 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:34 pm

    • Ryan McMahon clubs two-run homer in loss Saturday
Ryan McMahon went 1-for-2 and clubbed a two-run homer on Saturday night as the Rockies fell to the Astros in Mexico City.

Advice: McMahon got the Rockies on the board first in this one, clobbering a mammoth 459-foot (108.9 mph EV) two-run shot off of Ronel Blanco in the first inning. He also drew a walk and struck out in the contest, participating in only the three true outcomes. He’s off to a tremendous start to the 2024 season, slashing .310/.393/.480 with four homers and 16 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:13 pm

    • Cranks ninth home run
O'Neill went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and three runs scored in Saturday's win over the Cubs.

Advice: O'Neill got the scoring started with a blast over the Green Monster in the bottom of the first inning. It was the first home run this season for the 28-year-old that wasn't a solo shot. O'Neill also added a double, a single and a walk. Only Mike Trout (10) has gone deep more times so far this season than the Red Sox outfielder. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:49 pm

    • Tyler O’Neill blasts ninth homer against Cubs
Tyler O’Neill went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and three runs scored against the Cubs on Saturday.

Advice: O’Neill got the scoring started for the Red Sox, taking Ben Brown deep for a two-run homer in the first inning. He added a double to lead off the fifth and scored on a base hit. He singled in the eighth and crossed the plate for a third time on a double by Masataka Yoshida. The 28-year-old outfielder is off to a great start in Boston, slashing .333/.450/.758 with nine homers, 19 runs scored, and 11 RBI across 80 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:12 pm
