    • Jason Foley escapes ninth inning with eighth save
Jason Foley walked the tightrope in the ninth inning against the Royals on Saturday, escaping with a one-run lead intact to earn his eighth save of the season.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander came on with a three-run advantage, but the Royals nudged closer as they put three hits together to score a pair of runs and put the tying run on base. He rallied back though to get Vinnie Pasquantino on a fly ball to center to end the ballgame. On the season, Foley now holds a 1.50 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and an 11/6 K/BB ratio across 12 innings on the season to go along with eight saves and two victories. Rotoworld Today, 6:14 pm
    • Labors through 4.1 innings
Cabrera (1-1) took the loss Saturday versus the Nationals, yielding six runs (five earned) on four hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Cabrera cruised through the first two frames, striking out three while allowing just one runner to reach base. It was a struggle after that, though, with the big blow coming in the fifth inning when Jesse Winker walloped a grand slam. Cabrera twirled a gem in his first start earlier this month, but his second outing wasn't great and this one was worse. Further inconsistency should be expected. Rotowire.com Today, 6:11 pm
    • Plates two, steals base
Goldschmidt went 2-for-5 with two RBI while netting his first stolen base of the season in Saturday's 7-4 victory over the Mets.

Advice: Goldschmidt one-hopped a two-run double off the wall as part of a four-run first inning for the Cardinals. He also added an infield single, a stolen base and another run scored. The former MVP did also strike out three times Saturday and has fanned at an elevated 30.1 percent. The production on the whole has ticked up over the past week, though, with Goldschmidt going 9-for-27 (.333) with one home run and four RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 5:04 pm
    • Paul Goldschmidt drives in two in win over Mets
Paul Goldschmidt went 2-for-5 with a double, two runs scored, two RBI, and a stolen base to lead the Cardinals to a 7-4 win over the Mets.

Advice: Goldschmidt seems to be warming up at the plate. He collected two hits on Saturday for his third multi-hit game in his last five contests. Goldschmidt drove in two runs with a double in the first inning and scored on a base hit by Masyn Winn. He singled in the fifth and swiped second for his first stolen base of the season before scoring on a balk. The 36-year-old first baseman is slashing .214/.306/.296 with two homers and 11 RBI across 113 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 4:37 pm
    • Edward Cabrera struggles late in loss to Nationals
Edward Cabrera was charged for six runs — five earned — in 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the Nationals on Saturday.

Advice: Cabrera was pitching well over the first four frames, but the fifth was a disaster that saw him give up a grand slam to Jesse Winker. He walked two and struck out four in a start that sees his ERA balloon to 5.28. Cabrera will try and bounce back with a home start against the Rockies on Thursday. Rotoworld Today, 4:20 pm
    • Red Sox move Triston Casas to 60-day IL
Red Sox transferred 1B Triston Casas to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: The team needed to free up a spot on their 40-man roster for the addition of Garrett Cooper, and Casas made logical sense after it was reported that he’s dealing with torn cartilage in his ribs and could be sidelined for up to nine weeks. He won’t be eligible to return until the end of June. Rotoworld Today, 4:09 pm

    • Steals eighth bag
Betts went 3-for-5 with a triple, a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: The 31-year-old extended his current hitting streak to seven games with his fourth straight multi-hit performance, and he also swiped a bag for the third straight contest. Betts is having a monster start to the season, slashing .391/.489/.661 through 115 plate appearances with six homers, eight steals, 23 RBI and 29 runs, and while it's early, he's firmly on pace for the second 30-30 campaign of his career. • Moves to 60-day IL
The Red Sox transferred Casas (ribs) to the 60-day injured list Saturday, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: Casas was diagnosed with a cartilage tear in his left ribcage Friday, and it will officially cost him at least two months as he moves to the 60-day IL. The 24-year-old first baseman was optimistic Friday about returning to the lineup before the end of the season, but there is no telling when that might be, given the wide range of recovery timelines that come with his sort of injury. His roster spot will be given to Garrett Cooper, who was acquired from the Cubs on Saturday in exchange for cash and figures to take over as Boston's primary first baseman while Casas is out. • Mookie Betts collects three hits against Blue Jays
Mookie Betts went 3-for-5 with a triple, a run scored, an RBI, and a stolen base on Saturday to lead the Dodgers to a 4-2 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Betts opened the game with a triple off Yusei Kikuchi and scored the first run of the game on a sacrifice fly. He later drove in a run with a base hit in the fourth. Betts added a single in the ninth and stole second for his eighth steal of the season. The 31-year-old star is slashing an incredible .391/.489/.661 with six homers, 29 runs scored, and 23 RBI across 137 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 3:05 pm
