    • Swats fourth homer Tuesday
Rafaela went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-4 extra-innings win over the Rays.

Advice: It was a roller coaster night for the 23-year-old. Rafaela gave Boston a 3-1 lead in the fifth inning by taking Aaron Civale deep for his fourth long ball of the year, but his throwing error in the top of the 11th nearly gave Tampa Bay the win. The Red Sox were able to tie the game back up in the bottom of the frame though, in part thanks to Rafaela's sacrifice bunt, before winning it in the 12th. Rafaela has collected a hit in 10 of 12 contests in May, batting .275 (11-for-40) on the month with two doubles and two homers, but his 1:11 BB:K is a warning sign that his numbers could swoon quickly as they did in April (.515 OPS in 26 games.) • Anthony Volpe doubles, drives in one vs. Twins
Anthony Volpe went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Twins.

Advice: Volpe doubled in the second inning to drive home Gleyber Torres, giving the Yankees their second run of the inning and an early 2-1 lead. Volpe pushed his current hitting streak to seven games in this one and is now slashing .265/.333/.469 for the month of May. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:36 pm
    • Rafaela homers in win over Rays
Ceddanne Rafaela went 1-for-3 with a home run and a sac bunt in a win over the Rays on Tuesday.

Advice: The 23-year-old got a little bit lucky on a 344-foot home run that was well-hit at 102.5 mph off the bat but would have only been a home run in eight MLB stadiums. However, it continues a solid stretch of production for the rookie who has gone 16-for-52 (.308) over his last 15 games with three home runs, 13 RBI, seven runs, and one steal. He still has 14 strikeouts to just one walk over that span, so his long swing will continue to be an issue for him as he adjusts to MLB pitching, but we’re starting to see some of the fantasy potential shine through, which makes him worthy of an add in deeper formats. • Drives in two
Rafaela went 1-for-3 with a two-RBI double during Sunday's 3-2 win over Washington.

Advice: Rafaela scored Garrett Cooper and Vaughn Grissom in the second inning, notching a double off MacKenzie Gore. Rafaela has generated at least one hit in 11 of his last 13 games, batting .326 with 12 RBI and six runs scored during that stretch. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:22 pm
    • Rafaela drives in two runs in win over Nationals
Ceddanne Rafaela went 1-for-3 with two RBI in a win over the Nationals on Sunday.

Advice: Rafaela had a ground rule double off of MacKenzie Gore in the second inning and is now up to 22 RBI on the season. The season-long stats don’t look great, but he’s 10-for-34 in May, which is a .323 average. The bigger issue for him is he has 11 strikeouts to just one walk over the same timeframe, which highlights some of the concerns with his profile right now. Still, the 23-year-old figures to play every day for the Red Sox and has the power and speed to remain a useful fantasy play in deeper formats. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:51 pm
    • Collects three hits Saturday
Volpe went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base in a loss to Tampa Bay on Saturday.

Advice: Volpe was the only Yankee to stand out offensively in the loss -- he was responsible for three of the team's five hits, plated both of the club's runs on a second-inning single and added a stolen base to boot. The young shortstop has reached base safely via hit or walk in nine straight contests, slashing .286/.375/.486 with two homers, seven RBI, seven runs and a 5:11 BB:K over that span. After swiping 24 bags as a rookie last year, Volpe is on pace to exceed that mark with eight steals in nine attempts so far in 2024. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:42 am
    • Anthony Volpe plates two runs in loss to Rays
Anthony Volpe went 3-for-4 and drove in both of the Yankees’ runs in Saturday’s loss to the Rays.

Advice: Volpe smacked a two-run single off of Zack Littell in the second inning that gave the Yankees a 2-1 advantage. That would wind up being the extent of their offensive output though. He also singled with two outs in the fifth inning and swiped second base, but the Yankees couldn’t cash him in. Volpe got his third knock off of Jason Adam in the seventh. With his three-hit attack, the 23-year-old shortstop is now hitting .268/.354/.408 with five homers, 20 RBI and eight stolen bases. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:27 pm
    • Goes deep in loss
Volpe went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in a loss to the Astros on Thursday.

Advice: Volpe accounted for New York's first scores with a two-run blast to right field in the third inning. It was his second homer in his past three contests following a 25-game stretch during which he went deep just once. Volpe is still batting just .200 through eight games in May, but he's held onto the leadoff spot, batting first in the order in all of the Yankees' contests so far this month. • Anthony Volpe crushes two-run homer in loss
Anthony Volpe went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer on Thursday in the Yankees’ loss to the Astros.

Advice: Volpe connected for a two-run opposite-field shot into the right-field corner off Astros starter Ronel Blanco in the third inning. It was his fifth round-tripper of the season and second time he’s left the yard in his last three contests. The 23-year-old shortstop has made an effort to flatten his swing and employ an all-fields approach this season, but is still hitting for some over-the-fence pop, while also significantly improving his batting average.
