    • Swipes 13th bag
Volpe went 2-for-5 with a run and a stolen base Wednesday against Kansas City in an 11-5 victory.

Advice: Volpe led off the game with a single and then stole second base before later coming around to score. The theft was his 13th of the campaign, pushing him past the halfway point as he seeks to surpass last season's total of 24 steals. Volpe has reached base at a much higher clip this season -- he's currently posting a .335 OBP compared to last year's .283 mark. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:56 pm
    • Homers again Wednesday
McMahon went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored in a 17-9 loss to the Twins on Wednesday.

Advice: McMahon cut the Rockies' deficit to 5-2 in the fourth inning with a 427-foot blast off Pablo Lopez, his 12th homer of the year. The 29-year-old McMahon looks to have broken out of a prolonged slump -- he's gone 4-for-7 with two doubles and two home runs in his last two games after struggling to a .115 average (7-for-61) in his previous 17 contests. Overall, McMahon's now slashing .267/.350/.462 with 36 RBI and 35 runs scored across 288 plate appearances this year. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:43 pm

    • Hits go-ahead homer in win
Bellinger went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in a 4-3 win over Tampa Bay on Wednesday.

Advice: With the Cubs trailing 2-1 with two outs in the seventh inning, Bellinger changed the game with a three-run home run off Tampa Bay reliever Garrett Cleavinger then added a single in the ninth. While the homer was his first in June, Bellinger now has four straight multi-hit efforts for a total of five in 10 contests this month. On the season, Bellinger is slashing .267/.324/.456 with nine home runs and 32 RBI in 238 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:41 pm

    • Cody Bellinger powers Cubs past Rays
Cody Bellinger went 2-for-5 and hit a three-run homer in the seventh to lead the Cubs to a 4-3 victory over the Rays on Wednesday.

Advice: The homer came off Garrett Cleavinger, a lefty who hadn’t previously allowed one in 27 innings this season. It was Bellinger’s ninth in 54 games. He’s not doing anything quite as well as he did last year, but that was probably to be expected. He’s still been a fine regular for the Cubs, and he might offer more to fantasy leaguers if he gets back to stealing more bases; he has three right now after finishing with 20 last year. • Ryan McMahon homers in second straight contest
Ryan McMahon went 2-for-3 with a solo homer on Wednesday in the Rockies’ loss to the Twins.

Advice: McMahon has snapped out of an extended tailspin at the dish with homers in back-to-back contests after taking Twins ace Pablo López deep in the fourth inning of this one for his 12th round-tripper of the season. The 29-year-old infielder has been a reliable power source, but his batting average has been all over the place as he oscillates between hot and cold stretches. Rotoworld Wednesday, 2:05 pm

    • Returning as DH on Wednesday
O'Neill (knee) will serve as Boston's designated hitter and No. 3 batter in Wednesday's game against the Phillies, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Advice: O'Neill hadn't played in any of the Red Sox's last three games due to right knee inflammation and looked to be at risk of a return to the 10-day injured list, but the 28-year-old was apparently able to show enough improvement over the last few days to avoid being deactivated again. Masataka Yoshida should settle in as the Red Sox's primary DH after returning from the IL on Tuesday, but he'll hit the bench Wednesday to facilitate O'Neill's return to the lineup. It's unclear when the Red Sox might be comfortable with having O'Neill make starts in the corner outfield. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 1:46 pm
    • On bench again Wednesday
Arozarena (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Arozarena will remain on the bench for the second day in a row while he manages a tight right hamstring. Given that the Rays felt comfortable enough using Arozarena as a pinch hitter in Tuesday's 5-2 win, he's seemingly on track to avoid a stint on the injured list. Arozarena's absence from the lineup Wednesday will enable the Rays to give Yandy Diaz a day out of the field and deploy him at designated hitter. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 1:00 pm
    • Sitting against lefty
Nimmo is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Marlins.

Advice: Nimmo has struck out eight times across his last 14 plate appearances, and he might have had a tough time bouncing back Wednesday against a left-handed starting pitcher (Braxton Garrett), so he'll be given the day off to regroup. Tyrone Taylor will replace Nimmo in left field and will bat sixth. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:17 pm
    • Tyler O’Neill back in the lineup on Wednesday
Tyler O’Neill is back in the lineup for the Red Sox on Wednesday, hitting third and playing designated hitter against the Phillies.

Advice: This is the plan that manager Alex Cora outlined earlier in the week, and the Red Sox are staying on track with it for now. The hope is that O’Neill will be able to move back to the outfield later this week, which will allow the Red Sox to also play Masataka Yoshida, who returned from the IL but is on the bench on Wednesday with O’Neill at DH.
