Ranger Suárez dominates again in win over Marlins
Ranger Suárez delivered yet another dominant performance in Friday night’s victory over the Marlins, racking up nine strikeouts over seven innings of shutout baseball.
Advice: The 28-year-old southpaw scattered just three hits on the evening while issuing two free passes. While two of the three hits that he allowed were doubles, the Marlins never seriously threatened against him. Suárez got nine swings and misses on 97 pitches on the night, posting an elite CSW of 36 percent. He now sits at 7-0 on the season with an impeccable 1.50 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and a 55/8 K/BB ratio over 54 innings through his first eight starts. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling when he takes the mound against the Mets on Wednesday night.
