    • Hit hard in no-decision
Nelson came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 5-4 extra-innings loss to the Orioles, giving up three runs on 10 hits over 4.2 innings. He struck out three without walking a batter.

Advice: Half of the hits off Nelson went for extra bases, including a pair of doubles plus a triple by Ryan Mountcastle and a solo homer by Gunnar Henderson. Nelson has lasted past five innings only once in six starts this season, and he'll carry a 5.33 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 19:6 K:BB through 25.1 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Tigers. • Hit hard in no-decision
Woods Richardson came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 10-8 loss to the Blue Jays, surrendering five runs on eight hits and a walk over 4.1 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: The Twins spotted the right-hander a 4-0 lead by the top of the second inning, but Woods Richardson quickly ran into trouble of his own as half of the eight hits off him went for extra bases, including homers by Bo Bichette and Davis Schneider. Woods Richardson has failed to complete five innings in two of his last three starts, but he'll still carry a respectable 3.24 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 23:6 K:BB through 25 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next weekend in Cleveland. • Not ready to start Sunday
Taillon (back) will not start Sunday's game in Pittsburgh, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: Taillon had to be scratched from a scheduled start Friday due to back stiffness. He had hoped to take the ball Sunday after throwing off a mound Saturday, but while the mound session went well, he's not quite ready. It's not clear at this point when Taillon might be ready to make his next start, but there does seem to be optimism he can avoid the injured list. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:03 pm

    • Picks up second win
Littell (2-2) got the victory Saturday versus the Yankees, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He notched three strikeouts.

Advice: Littell came into this outing with zero walks over his last four starts and at least six strikeouts in all of those outings. While he went the other direction in both areas during Saturday's start, it was an effective outing nonetheless. Littell is sitting on a 3.02 ERA, but this was his first win since March 30. His next outing projects to come in Boston. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:49 pm

    • Zack Littell beats Yankees to improve to 2-2
Zack Littell picked up his second victory of the season on Saturday, limiting the Yankees to two runs on four hits over 5 2/3 frames.

Advice: The right-hander struck out three batters on the afternoon while issuing a pair of walks. All of the damage done against him came in the second inning, as Anthony Volpe smacked a two-out, two-run single with the bases loaded. Littell settled in beautifully afterwards, allowing his offense to battle back. He got eight swings and misses on 80 at-bats on the afternoon, registering a CSW of 25 percent. Now 2-2 on the season, he’ll tote a 3.02 ERA and 1.28 WHIP into Thursday’s battle against the Red Sox. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:27 pm

    • Ryne Nelson allows 10 hits, three runs vs. O’s
Ryne Nelson gave up three runs on 10 hits over 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Orioles on Saturday.

Advice: Nelson didn’t walk anyone and he struck out three. He allowed a solo homer to Gunnar Henderson, and while he “only” allowed the three runs Saturday, he was pretty much in trouble throughout the outing. Nelson has a 5.33 ERA, and a chance to lower that comes Friday against the Tigers at home. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:20 pm

    • Simeon Woods Richardson allows five in no-decision
Simeon Woods Richardson was charged with five runs while going 4 1/3 innings and not factoring into the decision against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Woods Richardson gave up eight hits while only striking out two. The right-hander was staked a 7-1 lead, but like his counterpart Kevin Gausman, he was unable to pitch effectively before exiting early. It’s disappointing considering how well Woods Richardson pitched against Seattle, but inconsistency is likely going to follow the 23-year-old for the foreseeable future. He’ll have a chance to rebound against the Guardians on Friday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:19 pm
    • Jameson Taillon questionable for Sunday start
Jameson Taillon is dealing with renewed back discomfort and might not start Sunday’s series final against the Pirates.

Advice: Taillon will test his back on Saturday to determine whether he’ll take the ball for Sunday’s series finale against the Pirates. The 32-year-old, who missed the first couple weeks of the season due to a back strain, felt something in his back while warming up earlier this week for a bullpen session, which led to his start being pushed back from Friday to later this weekend. There should be some clarity on his status at some point prior to Sunday’s showdown. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:57 am

    • Fans seven in return
Marsh did not factor into the decision Friday against the Angels, allowing one run on four hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Marsh (elbow) looked sharp in his return from the injured list, tossing 85 pitches (59 strikes). The Kansas City right-hander lowered his ERA to 2.53 with the effort, maintaining his momentum after he tossed 10 shutout innings in his last two outings before the injured list stint. Marsh is scheduled to make his next start against the Mariners on the road. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:50 pm
