    • Facing hitters Sunday
Senga (shoulder) will throw live batting practice Sunday, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Senga has had no issues throwing bullpen sessions over the last several days, so he will now graduate to throwing 20 pitches against hitters at the Mets' complex in Florida. Assuming all goes well, the 31-year-old righty will likely throw another few live sessions before being cleared to begin a rehab assignment with one of the Mets' minor-league affiliates. • Kodai Senga (shoulder) set to face hitters Sunday
Kodai Senga (shoulder) will progress to facing hitters on Sunday in a live batting practice session.

Advice: It’ll be the first time Senga faces hitters since experiencing a setback in his rehabilitation process back in late May. The 31-year-old righty is still weeks away from a potential return to New York’s starting rotation and isn’t going to make his season debut until sometime after next month’s All-Star break. • Extends hitting streak with homer
Reynolds went 1-for-3 with a solo home run Friday against the Rays.

Advice: Reynolds was in jeopardy of having his hitting streak snapped but smacked his 11th homer of the season to begin the eighth inning. He now has a hit in 18 consecutive games, a stretch in which he's batting .342 with four long balls, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:44 am

    • Lays down productive bunt
Friedl went 0-for-2 with an RBI and was hit by a pitch in Friday's 5-2 win over Boston.

Advice: Friedl, who was hitless in 14 consecutive at-bats when he came up in the seventh inning with runners in scoring position, was thinking bunt. The player that led the majors last season with 17 bunt hits laid down a squeeze bunt. When the throw to the plate got past Red Sox catcher Connor Wong, both runners scored, giving Cincinnati some separation. Friedl is batting .209/.320/.372 with six steals, four home runs, 16 RBI and 14 runs scored through 24 games. Rotowire.com Saturday, 5:22 am

    • Bryan Reynolds homers in loss
Bryan Reynolds went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk on Friday against the Rays.

Advice: The home run was Reynolds’ 11th of the season and landed all the way in the Allegheny River beyond the concourse in right-center field. The homer also extended his hitting streak to 18 games. He’s become one of the most dependable yet unspectacular outfield bats in baseball. Rotoworld Friday, 6:31 pm

    • Bo Bichette (calf) expects to return when eligible
Bo Bichette (calf) is hopeful that he’ll return from the injured list when first eligible on Tuesday.

Advice: The 26-year-old shortstop took ground balls, hit in the batting cages and ran the bases with the team in Cleveland on Friday. As long as he avoids any setbacks over the weekend, anticipate his stint on the injured list to be as short as possible. Rotoworld Friday, 3:10 pm

    • Resumes baseball activities
Bichette (calf) took ground balls, ran the bases and hit in the batting cage Friday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: He looks to be on track to return from the injured list once eligible Tuesday and should ramp up his workload over the weekend. While Bichette has been sidelined, Isiah Kiner-Falefa has drawn most of the starts at shortstop. Rotowire.com Friday, 2:59 pm

    • TJ Friedl (hamstring) returns to action on Friday
TJ Friedl (hamstring) returned to the Reds’ starting lineup for Friday night’s series opener against the Red Sox.

Advice: Friedl had missed each of the team’s last two games due to tightness in his hamstring. The 28-year-old outfielder has struggled to stay on the field this season, managing to hit .214/.320/.381 with four homers, 15 RBI and six stolen bases in just 23 games in-between stints on the injured list. He’s starting in left field and batting leadoff for the Reds on Friday night against Kutter Crawford and the Red Sox. Rotoworld Friday, 1:17 pm

    • Back in Cincinnati lineup
Friedl will start in center field and bat leadoff in Friday's game versus the Red Sox.

Advice: Friedl missed two games after his hamstring tightened up on him Monday, but he's ready to go now following the Reds' team off day Thursday. Although he's slashed just .214/.320/.381 so far in an injury-shortened season, Friedl does have four home runs and six stolen bases over 97 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Friday, 12:09 pm
