    • Ends Game 2 of twin bill with save
Iglesias notched a save against the Padres on Monday, striking out one batter in a perfect inning of work.

Advice: Atlanta got seven dominant scoreless innings from Chris Sale before Pierce Johnson took over with a scoreless frame in the eighth. Iglesias then completed the shutout with a perfect 13-pitch ninth. The veteran closer hasn't posted his usual big strikeout numbers with just a 12:5 K:BB over 18.1 innings, but he's converted 11 of 13 save chances this season while registering a 2.45 ERA and 1.15 WHIP. • Hits go-ahead homer
O'Hoppe went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Monday's 9-7 win over the Astros.

Advice: O'Hoppe is heating up at the plate -- he's hit safely in eight of his last 11 games with two homers and 11 RBI in that span. The catcher is up to four long balls, 22 RBI, 18 runs scored, six doubles and a triple while slashing .264/.321/.403 over 157 plate appearances. The 24-year-old got off to a slow start this season, but he's back to offering some pop from the middle of the order. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:26 pm

    • Picks up 14th save
Helsley walked one and struck out none over a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Monday's 6-3 win over the Orioles.

Advice: Helsley hadn't pitched since last Tuesday, but he didn't show much rust. The closer is on a 10-inning scoreless streak, and he's earned seven saves and a win in that span. For the season, he's 14-for-15 in save chances with a 2-2 record, a 1.29 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 23:3 K:BB over 21 innings. Helsley's strong pitching has helped him go unquestioned as the Cardinals' closer this year, though the team's 21-26 record leaves some doubt as to if he can keep picking up saves at such a strong pace. • Helsley records 14th save Monday
Ryan Helsley picked up his 14th save of the season against the Orioles on Monday.

Advice: Helsley pitched another scoreless ninth inning, which was his 15th consecutive appearance without allowing an earned run. He walked Austin Hays with two outs before getting Cedric Mullens to fly out to end the game. Helsley last allowed an earned run on April 8th. Since then he has converted 11 saves and finished 14 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:02 pm

    • Fans eight in no-decision
Weathers did not factor into the decision Monday against Milwaukee, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks over seven innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Weathers generated 14 whiffs en route to his eight strikeouts, reaching that mark for the first time since punching out 10 on April 16 against San Francisco. The Miami lefty has thrown four consecutive quality starts, posting a 2.67 ERA, 0.70 WHIP and 20:4 K:BB over 27 innings during that time. Weathers is currently slated to make his next start against Arizona on the road this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:15 pm

    • Ryan Weathers strikes out eight in no-decision
Ryan Weathers struck out eight and was charged with two runs (one earned) over seven innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Brewers.

Advice: Weathers generated 14 swinging strikes, including seven on his changeup alone, and finished with a robust 34 percent CSW. The 24-year-old lefty has pitched extremely well this season, allowing three earned runs or fewer in nine of his 10 starts. His eight punchouts were the most since a 10-strikeout performance back on April 16. He’ll bring a solid 3.49 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 46/19 K/BB ratio across 56 2/3 innings (10 starts) into a road tilt on Sunday against the Diamondbacks. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:02 pm

    • Iglesias gets 11th save Monday
Raisel Iglesias pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn his 11th save of the season against the Padres on Monday.

Advice: Iglesias had allowed one run in three of his previous six appearances, which included one blown save. He got the Padres to go quietly with a clean ninth inning to preserve the Braves 3-0 shutout victory. Iglesias had the last two days off and only threw 13 pitches so he should be well rested for his next appearance.

    • Had internal brace procedure
Sheehan revealed Monday that last week's right elbow surgery was an internal brace procedure, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The internal brace procedure typically allows for a shorter rehab than a traditional Tommy John surgery, although Sheehan noted Monday that he's been told to expect the rehab to last 13 months. That puts the young right-hander out until around the All-Star break next year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:51 pm

    • Bo Bichette goes 4-for-4, doubles three times
Bo Bichette finished 4-for-4 with three doubles against the White Sox on Monday.

Advice: The first double should have been an out, but the last two were legit. Those two and the single were all hit at least 105 mph, making this easily Bichette’s best exit-velocity day of the season. It was definitely an encouraging showing, even if it was aided by some meatballs from the White Sox staff. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:39 pm
