Volpe's power is down in comparison to his rookie campaign, but he's reduced his strikeout rate from 27.8 percent to 21.3 percent, which has helped produce a much-improved .271/.329/.414 slash line.       Anthony Volpe went 1-for-5 with a pair of stolen bases and a run scored on Friday night as the Yankees triumphed over the Red Sox.

      Advice: Volpe led off the fifth inning with a single, then swiped second and third base before scoring on Alex Verdugo’s RBI double. That would be his lone hit in five at-bats on the evening.       Advice: Albies' first-inning double set the stage for Atlanta to take an early lead, and his double in the ninth eventually led to a couple of insurance runs as a tight one-run lead turned into a three-run victory. Albies collected multiple hits for the 17th time this season, though it's just the second time he's had three or more in a game.       Advice: That as many hits as he had in his previous seven games combined. Albies hasn’t been a disaster for the Braves this season, but he has been quite a fantasy disappointment, mostly because he’s been limited to four homers in 58 games. He finished with 33 in 148 games last year. It’s the result of injuries and the short 2020, but it’s kind of funny that through Albies’ first seven seasons (not including the partial 2024), he’s had at least 24 homers four times and no more than eight the other three years. The 29-year-old McMahon looks to have broken out of a prolonged slump -- he's gone 4-for-7 with two doubles and two home runs in his last two games after struggling to a .115 average (7-for-61) in his previous 17 contests.       Advice: Both of McMahon’s hits went for extra bases, but it was his homer in the eighth inning that stretched the Rockies’ lead to 5-2. It was McMahon’s 11th homer on the season and his first of June after he slugged six in May. He’s slashing a meager .154/.214/.282 on the month and has seen his average regress back to the norm after hitting over .300 the first month of the season.
