    • Jose Miranda notches hits in 10 straight at-bats
Jose Miranda finished 4-for-4 with a homer, a double and three runs scored Friday against the Astros.

Advice: Incredibly, the Twins pinch-hit for Miranda in the ninth, even though he had delivered hits in 10 consecutive at-bats, and it worked, as Austin Martin singled off Luis Contreras. Still, the Twins went on to lose anyway, Miranda is 25-for-50 in his last 13 games, raising his average from .277 to .324 and his OPS from .778 to .893. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:53 pm

    • Kyle Freeland continues good run versus Royals
Kyle Freeland gave up just two runs — one earned — in seven innings with five strikeouts in a no-decision Friday against the Royals.

Advice: That makes back-to-back-to-back strong outings for Freeland, and since he returned off the injured list, the southpaw has allowed only three earned runs in 20 1/3 innings. The fact that good run still sees him with an ERA of 6.62 tells you how awful he was prior to his injury, and while he hasn’t been completely devoid of success, it’s hard to trust this continuing. Those who believe can take a risk and start Freeland against the Reds on Wednesday at their own risk. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:29 pm

    • Second straight poor start
Glasnow allowed five runs on three hits and two walks while striking out seven over six innings in a no-decision versus the Brewers on Friday.

Advice: All of the damage came in the fourth inning between a Willy Adames RBI single and a Rhys Hoskins grand slam. Glasnow has allowed five runs in back-to-back starts, though he's avoided the loss in both of those outings. For the season, he has a 3.47 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 143:29 K:BB through 109 innings over 18 starts. He's projected to make his next start at Detroit rather than Philadelphia due to the Dodgers inserting Justin Wrobleski into the rotation for a spot start Sunday. • Jurickson Profar ties game with solo blast in 9th
Jurickson Profar hit a game-tying homer in the ninth to help the Padres to a victory on Friday over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Profar tied the game at 8-8 with a homer off Paul Sewald in the bottom of the ninth. The 31-year-old continues to impress in his breakout campaign with a .316/.409/.490 slash along with 13 homers and 57 RBI. Just like we all expected. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:59 pm
    • Glasnow allows grand slam in no-decision vs. MIL
Tyler Glasnow went six innings while surrendering five runs in a start against the Brewers while not qualifying for a decision.

Advice: If you take away one swing, this start looks a heck of a lot better. Glasnow allowed only three hits while striking out seven and walking two, but whenever you give up a grand slam, you’re literally taking away a chance for a quality start. In this case, the bases were jammed and then cleared by Rhys Hoskins to give Milwaukee a 5-2 lead in the fifth. Fortunately for Glasnow and the Dodgers, Los Angeles was able to score six unanswered to get the win. His final start before the All-Star break is scheduled against the Tigers on Friday. • Sets franchise record in loss
Miranda went 4-for-4 with a homer, a double, two RBI and three runs scored in Friday's 13-12 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Miranda came a triple shy of the cycle and set a Twins franchise record in the seventh inning by tallying his 10th consecutive plate appearance with a hit. The 26-year-old launched a 414-foot solo shot off Shawn Dubin earlier in the game for his ninth homer of the season. Miranda now sports a nine-game hit streak over which he's batted an absurd .559 (19-for-34) with seven extra base hits, 12 RBI and 11 runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:57 pm

    • Tallies another quality start
Freeland did not factor into the decision in Friday's 4-2 win over Kansas City, allowing two runs (one earned) on seven hits and one walk over seven innings. He struck out five.

Advice: The Colorado veteran fired his third consecutive quality start, as he continues his resurgence after returning from the 60-day injured list June 23. Over his last three outings, Freeland has a 1.37 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 12:4 K:BB across 19.2 innings while making two of those appearances in Coors Field. The 31-year-old is currently slated to make his next start against the Reds in Cincinnati. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:06 pm

    • Trea Turner smacks two homers in win over Braves
Trea Turner went 2-for-5 with two two-run home runs in an 8-6 win over the Braves on Friday.

Advice: Good things have come in pairs for Turner who’s two two-run shots off Max Fried gave the Phillies a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. This was also the second time in four games Turner hit two long balls and his fourth multi-hit game in five contests. Deuces are officially wild for Turner. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:50 pm

    • Goes deep twice
Turner went 2-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Friday's win over Atlanta.

Advice: Turner belted a two-run shot in the fourth inning followed by another in the sixth. He's gone deep five times in 16 games since returning from the injured list, with four of those coming in his last four games. Turner has knocked multiple hits in eight of those 16 games, good for a .338 average. On the year, he's slashing .341/.386/.510 with 21 extra-base hits and 22 RBI through 49 contests.
