    • Tallies two hits Friday
Morel went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 7-1 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Morel has been scuffling a bit lately, as he's batting just .176 over his last 10 games with no home runs, and he has just three long balls overall this season across 25 contests. Still, the 24-year-old is a legitimate power threat, and even though he hasn't really gotten going in that department yet, he can heat up in a hurry and hit homers in bunches. • Struggles against Brewers
Gil surrendered five earned runs on six hits and two walks while striking out six batters across five innings during Friday's loss to Milwaukee. He didn't factor into the decision.

Advice: Though he was able to limit his struggles with walking batters, Gil's five runs and six hits allowed represented season highs for the 25-year-old, who now owns a 4.01 ERA and 1.34 WHIP through five starts. He's lined up to face another high-octane offense in Baltimore on Wednesday, and he could be at risk of getting hit around again if his command doesn't improve. Rotowire.com Today, 6:24 am

    • Sem Robberse continues hot start at Triple-A
Cardinals RHP prospect Sem Robberse struck out six and allowed two runs over seven innings on Friday for Triple-A Memphis.

Advice: Robberse boasts the second-lowest ERA (1.82) in the International League through five starts after spinning another gem on Friday evening for Triple-A Memphis. He generated 14 swinging strikes and finished with a 32 percent CSW. The 22-year-old righty doesn’t throw hard, but he’s been effective so far in the upper minors since coming over last year in the Jordan Hicks deal with the Blue Jays. Rotoworld Today, 4:19 am

    • Homers in Friday's loss
Mullins went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Mullins took Ross Stripling deep in the fourth inning to give the Orioles a 2-1 lead. Prior to Friday, Mullins had gone 0-for-11 with two walks and a stolen base over his last three games. The veteran outfielder is slashing .232/.286/.476 with six homers, 16 RBI, five steals, 16 runs scored and two doubles through 91 plate appearances. He continues to see the majority of the playing time in center field, though it's unclear if his spot is in any danger following the recent call-ups of Heston Kjerstad and Ryan McKenna. If Mullins struggles, he could cede some at-bats versus southpaws to players like McKenna or Jorge Mateo. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:55 pm

    • Homer, four hits in win
Smith went 4-for-5 with a home run, a double and three total RBI in Friday's 12-2 victory over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Smith slugged a solo home run off Trevor Richards in the fourth inning, his second long ball of the year. It's Smith's second straight four-hit game (he's gone 8-for-11 with three extra-base hits in that span) and already his fourth this season. The 29-year-old backstop is off to an excellent start, slashing a robust .376/.413/.527 with 21 RBI and 14 runs scored through his first 104 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:25 pm

    • J.T. Realmuto homers in victory over Padres
J.T. Realmuto went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer Friday in a victory over the Padres.

Advice: Realmuto turned a not-so-close game into a blowout with a two-run homer to extend Philadelphia’s lead from 7-1 to 9-1. The backstop also doubled and drew a walk for a very strong fantasy night from a catcher that has provided plenty of them in his career. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:28 pm

    • Luis Gil allows five over five in no-decision
Luis Gil gave up five runs in as many innings of work with six strikeouts in a no-decision against the Brewers on Friday.

Advice: Gil had one of his better days in terms of control with just two walks and 62-of-97 pitches landing in the strike zone. The 25-year-old didn’t have his best command, however, and gave up a pair of homers in a start where he was shaky — at best — throughout the contest. Gil will be back on the bump next week with a 4.01 ERA against the Orioles. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:28 pm

    • Will Smith homers, collects fourth four-hit game
Will Smith went 4-for-5 with a homer, a double and three RBI against the Blue Jays on Friday.

Advice: The 360-foot homer was actually just his third farthest hit ball of the night, as he also had a 374-foot sac fly and a 367-foot double. Smith has been spraying hits since day one, but the homer was just his second of the year. It’s his fourth four-hit game. Only three other players entered the day with even two of them (Mookie Betts with three and Yordan Alvarez and Ketel Marte with two apiece). Smith is batting .376/.413/.527 with 21 RBI in 24 games. • Jhoan Duran (oblique) to make rehab outing Saturday
Jhoan Duran (oblique) is scheduled to pitch in a minor league rehab game at Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday, after Friday’s scheduled appearance was rained out.

Advice: As long as everything goes well with that outing, it sounds like the Twins’ closer could be cleared to make his 2024 season debut. Duran threw 27 pitches his last time out and should be expected to have a similar workload on Saturday. It sounds like Griffin Jax’s usefulness from a fantasy perspective could be coming to an end soon. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:04 pm
