    Ozzie Albies had four hits, including a pair of doubles, and two runs scored Thursday against the Orioles.

    Advice: That as many hits as he had in his previous seven games combined. Albies hasn’t been a disaster for the Braves this season, but he has been quite a fantasy disappointment, mostly because he’s been limited to four homers in 58 games. He finished with 33 in 148 games last year. It’s the result of injuries and the short 2020, but it’s kind of funny that through Albies’ first seven seasons (not including the partial 2024), he’s had at least 24 homers four times and no more than eight the other three years.   • Returns from paternity leave
    The Mariners reinstated Moore (personal) from the paternity list Thursday.

    Advice: Moore has been away from the team since Monday to spend time with his family, and he will now return to the Mariners ahead of Thursday's series finale against the White Sox.   • Notches first steal of season
    Donovan went 2-for-3 with a walk, one RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Pirates.

    Advice: Donovan extended his hitting streak to seven games. He's gone 9-for-27 (.333) in that span, but just one of those hits has gone for extra bases. The 27-year-old's steal Wednesday was his first of the season, and he's not much of a speed threat after logging just five thefts in 95 games a year ago. Donovan is up to a .247/.322/.368 slash line with four home runs, 28 RBI, 30 runs scored, 15 doubles and one triple over 270 plate appearances this season. He spent much of the first two months of the season batting leadoff versus right-handed pitchers, but Masyn Winn is now atop the order on a near-everyday basis, having hit there in all but two of 11 games in June.     Hamilton went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and two runs scored in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Phillies.

    Advice: Hamilton singled and came around to score in the fifth inning then hit a two-run homer off Spencer Turnbull in the sixth. Hamilton has been on fire in June, notching his fourth straight multi-hit effort and hitting .333 with two home runs and four stolen bases in 10 games. Injuries have paved the way for Hamilton to receive regular playing time, but he has earned it by hitting .296 with four homers, 10 RBI and 13 steals over 135 plate appearances.     David Hamilton went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in leading the Red Sox to an 8-6 win over the Phillies on Wednesday.

    Advice: It’s Hamilton’s fourth straight two-hit game, and he’s now hitting .296/.348/.472 for the season. His Statcast numbers aren’t nearly as strong as his actual line, but the improved power from what he showed in the minors is impressive. Both of his hits tonight left the bat at 104-105 mph.     Advice: He'll sit for the second day in a row and looks set to see a steep reduction in playing time moving forward after the Diamondbacks brought back top shortstop Geraldo Perdomo from the injured list Tuesday. Newman joined the Diamondbacks in the second week of the season following Perdomo's placement on the IL and hit .266 with two home runs and two stolen bases over 49 games.   • Cavan Biggio starts at third base in Dodgers debut
    Cavan Biggio will start at third base and bat ninth in his Dodgers’ debut against the Rangers on Wednesday evening.

    Advice: It looks like Biggio could see strong-side platoon at-bats at third base — at least until Max Muncy returns from the injured list — as well as being utilized all over the diamond as a super-utility option. The 29-year-old was hitting a miserable .200/.323/.291 with a pair of homers in 131 plate appearances with the Blue Jays this season before getting designated for assignment and ultimately flipped to the Dodgers.
