• O’Neill crushes 12th home run Thursday
Tyler O’Neill went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run against the Phillies on Thursday.

Advice: O’Neill’s home run was his 12th and his first since May 19th against St. Louis. He was back in right field after missing Tuesday’s game with knee discomfort and occupying the designated hitter spot on Wednesday. Fantasy managers have to be pleased with these developments. • Suzuki swipes fifth base in loss Thursday
Seiya Suzuki went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base on Thursday.

Advice: Suzuki missed a couple of games last week with tightness in his side, but seemed to be feeling better in this one as evidenced by the stolen base. It was his fifth steal in 43 games this season. He had only six steals in 138 games with the Cubs last season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:34 pm
  • Lowe pinch hits, steals base to spark win Thursday
Josh Lowe went 1-for-1 with a run scored, an RBI, and a stolen base against the Cubs on Thursday.

Advice: Lowe was on the bench to begin the game with the Rays facing a left-handed pitcher. The stolen base was his first of the year. He came off the bench and started the scoring for the Rays in the bottom of the seventh with an RBI single. He later stole second and scored what turned out to be the winning run. Lowe had been 0-for-13 with two walks in his previous five games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:21 pm

  • Enters Thursday's lineup
Jankowksi entered Thursday's lineup as the designated hitter and is hitting seventh, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Corey Seager (hamstring) was scratched with hamstring tightness, forcing Josh Smith to shortstop while opening a spot for Jankowski. Jankowski has now started four of the Rangers' last seven games, going 2-for-13 with stolen bases and two runs scored in that span. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:14 pm

  • Rays officially release outfielder Harold Ramírez
    Rays released OF Harold Ramírez.

Advice: Ramírez went unclaimed on waivers with no club willing to pick up the remaining portion of his $3.8 million salary for this season and is now officially a free agent. The 29-year-old outfielder was jettisoned from Tampa Bay’s 40-man roster last week after posting a lackluster .589 OPS with one homer and five steals through 48 contests. He shouldn’t have too much trouble latching on elsewhere. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:42 pm

  • Hits go-ahead home run
Donovan went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Thursday's 4-3 win versus the Pirates.

Advice: The 27-year-old took Mitch Keller deep in the sixth inning for what turned out to be the game-deciding run. Donovan extended his hitting streak to eight contests and snapped a streak of 26 games without a homer in the process. He has gone 10-for-30 (.333) during his hitting streak and now carries a .248/.325/.380 slash line with five home runs and 29 RBI for the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:46 pm

  • Making another start versus righty
Biggio is in the lineup at third base and batting eighth Thursday versus the Rangers.

Advice: Biggio is getting his second start at third base for the Dodgers after going 1-for-3 in his debut for the team Wednesday. Thursday's start comes against righty Michael Lorenzen on the mound for the Rangers. With Max Muncy remaining on the injured list and Enrique Hernandez sitting versus a righty, it appears Biggio will be the primary option at third versus right-handers. Hernandez was filling the role as the everyday third baseman with Muncy out, but has been lackluster versus righties. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:37 pm

  • Getting breather Thursday
Calhoun isn't in the Angels' lineup for Thursday's game against Arizona, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After a 2-for-5 performance during the Angels' win Wednesday, Calhoun will take a seat for the series finale Thursday. His absence will move Taylor Ward into the DH spot while Kevin Pillar starts in left field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:31 pm
  • Idle versus lefty
Canzone isn't in the Mariners' lineup for Thursday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: Canzone and his career .531 OPS versus lefties will take a seat on Seattle's bench Thursday while southpaw Garrett Crochet starts on the mound for Chicago. Mitch Haniger will pick up a start in right field as a result, allowing Mitch Garver to serve as the Mariners' DH. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:18 pm
