• Michael Harris II (hamstring) heading to 10-day IL
Braves’ manager Brian Snitker told reporters after Friday’s game that Michael Harris II will be placed on the 10-day injured list on Saturday.

Advice: The 23-year-old outfielder was pulled from Friday’s game in the first inning due to tightness in his left hamstring. He’ll undergo an MRI exam on Saturday to determine the severity of the injury, but he’s going to miss at least a couple of weeks. With Ronald Acuna Jr. already lost for the year and Harris now out for an indefinite amount of time, don’t be surprised if the Braves aggressively pursue the trade market for help at the position. • Will Brennan homers, doubles in Guardians’ win
Will Brennan homered and doubled Friday in the Guardians’ 3-1 victory over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Brennan homered for the first time since May 19 and doubled for the first time since May 7. The Guardians can and should try to do a little better in the outfield prior to the deadline. Brennan could still have a role afterwards, but he’s not someone who should be starting regularly versus righties. Rotoworld Today, 7:13 pm

  • Austin Riley wakes up with three hits, homer
Austin Riley went 3-for-4 with a home run, double, three RBI, and two runs scored against the Rays on Friday.

Advice: Finally, some signs of life from Riley. His home run was hammered 107.3 MPH and soared 422 feet. All three of his batted balls were hit at least 104 MPH and this feels like it could be the end of Riley’s prolonged cold start this season. Rotoworld Today, 7:04 pm

  • Marcell Ozuna crushes 19th home run in win
Marcell Ozuna went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer, walk, and two runs scored against the Rays on Friday.

Advice: Ozuna got the Braves going early, taking Zack Littell deep to the opposite field in the first inning and Atlanta wouldn’t look back. Ozuna tied Kyle Tucker for third in the league with 19 home runs and has been one of the best offensive players in baseball so far this season. Rotoworld Today, 7:03 pm

  • Homers vs. Miami
Thomas went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer in Friday's 8-1 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Thomas provided the big blow in the Nationals' seven-run third inning, cranking a three-run homer off Shaun Anderson, his fifth this season. The 28-year-old outfielder extended his hit streak to eight games -- he's gone 10-for-29 (.345) in that span. Overall, Thomas is slashing .231/.295/.359 with 21 RBI, 18 runs scored and 16 stolen bases through 40 games this year. Rotowire.com Today, 7:01 pm

  • MRI reveals significant strain
Manager Dave Martinez said Friday that Gallo's MRI revealed a "significant hamstring strain," Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Martinez didn't give a return timeline for Gallo, simply saying that the 30-year-old will be out for "a while." Joey Meneses has been acting as Washington's primary first baseman since Gallo landed on the injured list Wednesday, but it's possible the Nationals decide to add someone from their farm system or outside the organization to help split the workload. • CJ Abrams goes 3-for-4 in win
CJ Abrams had two singles, a double, a walk, two RBI, and a run scored in a win over the Marlins on Friday.

Advice: Abrams started the game with a double and notched two hits in the Nationals’ seven-run third inning. He’s trended down some since a torrid first few weeks of the season but still carries a solid .257/.308/.489 slash line with 11 home runs and 10 stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Today, 6:11 pm

  • Lane Thomas mashes three-run homer
Lane Thomas went 2-for-5 on Friday with a home run, three RBI, and a run scored in a win over the Marlins.

Advice: Thomas has once again been a dynamo this season in the heart of the Nationals’ order. The home run was his fifth in just 40 games - a 20 homer pace - to go along with 16 stolen bases. His .231 batting average and .295 on-base percentage are a bit of a drag, but are easy to stomach with those gaudy counting numbers. Rotoworld Today, 6:10 pm

  • Exits with illness
Caballero was removed from Friday's game against Atlanta due to an illness, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Advice: Richie Palacios replaced Caballero at second base during the third inning. The 27-year-old infielder is slashing .241/.333/.483 across 33 plate appearances since the beginning of June and will continue to rest as he fights off his sickness. Rotowire.com Today, 5:28 pm
