The veteran righty has pitched well since taking over closing duties from Adbert Alzolay, as Neris has allowed just one earned run over his last five appearances, lowering his season ERA to 3.27.       Héctor Neris worked a scoreless ninth inning for the save against the Mets on Wednesday.

      Advice: Neris was summoned in the ninth inning to close out the game with a one-run lead. He recorded one out, then hit a batter and gave up a double to put the tying run on third and the go-ahead run in scoring position.       Kyle Schwarber smacked a two-run single on Wednesday, lifting the Phillies to a 2-1 victory over the Angels.

      Advice: Schwarber’s second-inning two-run single off Angels southpaw Patrick Sandoval represented Philadelphia’s only offensive production of a low-scoring contest out in Los Angeles.       Julio Rodríguez went 3-for-5 with a run scored on Wednesday in the Mariners’ loss to the Braves.

      Advice: Rodríguez has clearly snapped out of an early-season funk at the dish with seven multi-hit performances in his last 13 contests over the past two weeks since April 17. The 23-year-old fantasy superstar has just one round-tripper through 31 games, but he’s managed to raise his batting average back up to the .270 mark, and has also chipped in seven steals as well.       Scott (1-4) earned the win Tuesday over Colorado, allowing an unearned run on a hit and a walk in one inning. He struck out two.

      Advice: Scott allowed the free runner to score in the top of the 10th inning on a two-out Ryan McMahon double before ultimately striking out Hunter Goodman to end the frame. The Marlins would then score twice in the bottom half, completing the comeback victory and giving Scott his first win this year. The left-hander hasn't allowed an earned run in his last six appearances -- he's 4-for-5 in save chances this year with a 2.84 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 12:13 K:BB across 12.2 innings.       Munoz completed a five-out save in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Atlanta, allowing a hit and a walk while striking out three in the process.

      Advice: Munoz was forced into the game a bit earlier than expected after Ryne Stanek allowed three base hits to turn things into a 3-1 ballgame. Munoz did allow an inherited runner to score on a throwing error but was dominant otherwise and retired the side in order in the ninth with two strikeouts. Tuesday was the fourth time this season Munoz has pitched more than three outs and it was the third consecutive save he's converted, with all three coming over the last five days.
