Kwan has mentioned battling hamstring injuries in theoast, so both he and the Guardians want to be cautious in this instance.       The Guardians placed Kwan on the 10-day injured list Monday with a left hamstring strain.

      Advice: Cleveland hasn't disclosed the grade of Kwan's hamstring strain, which he suffered in Saturday's 7-1 win over the Angels. The injury forced him to miss his second game of the season Sunday, and he'll be sidelined through at least May 14 as a result of landing on the IL. The Guardians called up prospect Kyle Manzardo from Triple-A Columbus to take over Kwan's spot on the 26-man active roster, and Manzardo should also inherit an everyday role while the 26-year-old outfielder is on the shelf. Manzardo will serve as the Guardians' designated hitter in Monday's series opener versus the Tigers and will hit seventh, while Estevan Florial will fill in for Kwan in left field and atop the batting order.       Diaz went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and two RBI on Sunday against the Mets.

      Advice: Diaz is hitting just .235 across his 150 plate appearances of the season, though his results have begun to turn around of late. Sunday marked his third straight start with two hits, and he also has a double, four RBI and a run scored in that span. Diaz has only two barrels in 114 batted ball events to begin the season, though he should continue to see hits fall in at an increased clip as he's maintained a 15.3 percent strikeout rate -- in line with his career norm.     • Roughed up by Phillies
      Webb (3-3) took the loss Sunday against the Phillies, allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out six over four innings.

      Advice: The Phillies scratched out a run versus Webb in the second before plating four more in the third, which was highlighted by Bryce Harper's three-run blast. Webb faced some more traffic in the fourth but ultimately got out of it unscathed with his day ending there after throwing 98 pitches. Following a dominant stretch of four consecutive outings allowing two runs or fewer and pitching at least seven innings, Webb has now given up four runs in back-to-back starts while failing to get more than 12 outs. The one positive note was that his six strikeouts set a season high.       Peralta (3-1) allowed three runs on three hits and six walks over five innings Sunday, striking out five and taking a loss against the Cubs.

      Advice: Despite the command issues all afternoon, Peralta kept the Cubs off the board until coughing up three runs in the fifth inning. He took his first loss of the year and has now failed to complete six frames in three straight outings. During that stretch, he's posted a 6.00 ERA with a 17:11 K:BB. Peralta forced 13 whiffs Sunday but threw just 51 of 97 pitches for strikes. His season ERA climbed to 3.49 through 38.2 frames.       Logan Webb wasn’t at his best in Sunday night’s loss to the Phillies, giving up five runs (four earned) on six hits in his four innings of work.

      Advice: The 27-year-old right-hander punched out six batters on the night while issuing a pair of walks. The Phillies scratched out a run against him in the second inning, then tacked on three more in the third including a two-run blast off the bat of Bryce Harper. Webb needed 98 pitches (59 strikes) to labor through 12 outs in this one, getting 10 swings and misses and posting a CSW of 26 percent.       Brown didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Seattle, allowing two runs on five hits with four walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out five.

      Advice: Despite tying his season high in walks, Brown allowed only a pair of runners to score and held the Mariners to just one extra-base hit. Brown has lasted less than five innings in five of his seven starts this season and owns an ugly 8.89 ERA through 27.1 innings. With Cristian Javier (neck) set to return in the next week or so, Brown's time in the rotation could be coming to a close. However, Houston could drop rookie Spencer Arrighetti instead. Kwan exited Saturday’s game against the Angels with tightness in his left hamstring and underwent an MRI to determine the severity of the issue.     • Hunter Brown pulled in fifth against Mariners
      Hunter Brown lasted 4 1/3 innings and allowed two runs Sunday in a no-decision versus the Mariners.

      Advice: Brown walked four and threw 91 pitches to get his 13 outs. His 13.1% walk rate this season is more than 50% higher than his previous career mark, and nothing else he’s doing is making up for that.
