Marte went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Twins.

Advice: Marte's homer opened the scoring in the first inning and he added a go-ahead RBI single in the seventh to put the Diamondbacks ahead for good. The second baseman had gone just 2-for-16 over his previous four contests before this multi-hit effort. He's been a big contributor throughout the campaign with a .280/.340/.507 slash line, 16 homers, 46 RBI, 51 runs scored and three stolen bases across 76 games. • Ketel Marte hits two-run homer in Arizona’s win
Ketel Marte hit a two-run homer in the first and singled in the go-ahead run in the seventh as the Diamondbacks edged the Twins 5-4 on Tuesday.

Advice: Marte has 16 homers, which is already the third highest total of his career. He’s going to deserve to be the NL’s starting second baseman in the All-Star Game this year, but since the Padres got away with listing Luis Arraez at second after turning him into a full-time first baseman, there’s still some doubt who will get the nod. • Swipes bag in loss
Hoerner went 2-for-4 with a walk, one stolen base and one run scored in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Giants.

Advice: Hoerner hasn't hit all that well in June (.194), but he's logged six steals over 19 contests this month. The infielder is up to 12 thefts on 14 attempts for the season, providing speed atop the Cubs' lineup. He's added a .241/.331/.327 slash line with two home runs, 18 RBI, 36 runs scored, 14 doubles and a triple over 70 contests. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:08 pm

    • Back in startling lineup
Marte started at second base and went 0-for-3 in Saturday's 12-1 loss to Philadelphia.

Advice: Marte hadn't played the field since Wednesday; he served as the designated hitter Thursday then was held out of the starting lineup Friday. All appears to be fine for Marte, who was merely given a two-game respite from playing the field. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:13 am

    • Flashes power Friday
Albies went 2-for-5 with a walk, a double, a two-run home run and a second run scored in Friday's win over the Yankees.

Advice: The second baseman had a sluggish start to the season, but he appears to be heating up along with the weather. Over the last nine games, Albies is batting .308 (12-for-39) with four doubles, a triple, two homers, seven RBI and 10 runs scored while hitting second in the order behind Jarred Kelenic. • Ketel Marte absent from Diamondbacks lineup Friday
Ketel Marte is absent from the Diamondbacks’ starting lineup for Friday night’s series opener against the Phillies in Philadelphia.

Advice: It appears to be nothing more than a routine day of rest for the hard-hitting second baseman. Blaze Alexander will draw a rare start at second base in his place and will bat eighth for the Diamondbacks against Taijuan Walker and the Phillies on Friday evening in Philadelphia. • Not in Friday's lineup
Marte is absent from the lineup for Friday's game in Philadelphia.

Advice: Marte served as the Diamondbacks' designated hitter Thursday and is now out of their lineup altogether, although there's no indication at this point that this is anything other than a routine day off. Blaze Alexander is handling second base Friday. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:22 am

    • Provides early lift
Marte went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday's 5-0 win over Washington.

Advice: Marte got it started early with a two-run home run in the first inning. He later plated a run on a sacrifice fly. While he's had a good season to date -- one that's generating All-Star buzz from Arizona Sports -- Marte can be even more productive if Corbin Carroll's bat stays hot ahead of him in the lineup. Carroll's batting .340 over the last 12 games, and Marte has driven in 10 runs during that stretch. For the season, Marte has an .863 OPS, 15 home runs, 42 RBI, three steals and 50 runs scored. • Albies triples, drives in one in win over Tigers
Ozzie Albies went 1-for-4 with a triple and an RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Tigers.

Advice: Albies hit his first triple of the season in the first inning to drive home Jared Kelenic. His RBI would be one of two the Braves would drive in on the evening in what turned into an unexpected pitching duel on the evening. Like many of his teammates, Albies has struggled at the plate this month, slashing .209/.229/.418, despite having nine extra base hits. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:03 pm
