Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski told reporters J.T. Realmuto will miss roughly one month following right knee surgery.

Advice: Dombrowski added that Realmuto has opted to undergo surgery later this week after playing through a small meniscus tear in his right knee for an unspecified period. Given the timing of the surgery, it sounds like Realmuto has a chance to return shortly after next month’s All-Star break. Phillies placed C J.T. Realmuto on the 10-day injured list with right knee pain.

Advice: Realmuto will undergo right knee meniscectomy surgery Wednesday in Philadelphia. The catcher will be out indefinitely, but it’s not believed to be a season-ending procedure. While Realmuto is out, the Phillies will likely have Drew Stubbs are their starting backstop, and Rafael Marchan was recalled from Triple-A to take Realmuto’s place on the roster. Raleigh went 1-for-5 with a grand slam in an 8-4 win against the White Sox on Monday.

Advice: Raleigh went hitless with a pair of strikeouts over his first four at-bats but finished the game with a bang, belting a grand slam with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Mariners a walk-off win. It was the second straight day that the backstop produced a clutch hit -- he knocked a two-run single in the 10th frame Sunday to help Seattle to victory. Raleigh is barely over the Mendoza line with a .206 batting average on the season, but he's tied for second among MLB catchers with 12 homers and is tied for fourth with 39 RBI.
