    • Remains out of lineup
Yoshida is absent from the lineup for Friday's contest against the Cubs.

Advice: It marks the fourth straight game that Yoshida is absent from the lineup. Devers is getting another start at designated hitter Friday and the Red Sox don't seem to trust Yoshida in the outfield, leading to him receiving just one plate appearance so far this week. The plan is for Devers to return to third base Saturday, with Yoshida being used at DH that day. Rotowire.com 24 minutes ago
    • Goes deep in victory
Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Thursday in a 2-1 win over Washington.

Advice: Hernandez's second-inning solo shot put the Dodgers on the board and amounted for half of the team's total output of runs in the low-scoring win. The long ball was the slugger's sixth of the campaign and his first over his past 11 contests. Hernandez has trailed off a bit of late after a strong start to his Dodgers tenure, but he still ranks second on the team and is tied for 11th in the majors with 20 RBI. • Takes loss against Royals
Berrios (4-1) took the loss Thursday against Kansas City, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks with a strikeout over five innings.

Advice: All of the damage against Berrios came via a Salvador Perez two-run home run in the first inning. Berrios failed to complete six innings for the first time this season, an impossible task considering Thursday's game was called due to rain after five frames. The outing snapped Berrios's scoreless inning streak that spanned 21.2 innings. He's tentatively scheduled for another start against the Royals early next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:46 pm
    • José Berríos handed loss in rain-shortened start
José Berríos allowed two runs over five innings with just one strikeout on Thursday in a loss to the Royals.

Advice: Berríos also walked three while allowing three hits. The 29-year-old right-hander had to battle over his five frames, but he was able to hold the Royals scoreless after allowing a two-run homer to Salvador Perez in the first inning. He likely would have been able to go deeper in this game if not for an extended rain delay, as he exited after throwing just 67 pitches. Berrios boasts an excellent 1.23 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 28/12 K/BB ratio across 36 2/3 innings (six starts). He’ll be back on the mound with a rematch against the Royals on Tuesday. • Freddie Freeman scalds RBI double in Dodgers’ win
Freddie Freeman went 2-for-3 with an RBI double on Thursday, lifting the Dodgers to a 2-1 victory over the Nationals.

Advice: Freeman has flown a bit under the radar with Mookie Betts and Shohei Ohtani justifiably stealing the early-season spotlight. However, his latest multi-hit performance puts his batting average back above the .300 mark for the first time this season. The 34-year-old fantasy stalwart has shown zero signs of slowing down at this stage of his career and remains an elite four-category contributor also capable of chipping in the occasional stolen base. • Harper has two hits, homers in win over Reds
Bryce Harper went 2-for-3 with a walk and a two-run homer on Thursday in the Phillies’ win over the Reds.

Advice: The home run was a 384-foot shot off Nick Martinez that left the bat at 101.4 mph. Harper also had a 112 mph single on the day and is now slashing .256/.347/.488 on the year with five home runs and 16 RBI. Expect the batting average to keep rising as Harper remains one of the best hitters for fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:12 pm
    • Framber Valdez to start Sunday in Mexico City
Framber Valdez (elbow) will start on Sunday against the Rockies in Mexico City.

Advice: Astros manager Joe Espada confirmed Thursday that Valdez will return this weekend after spending just over two weeks on the shelf with left elbow inflammation. The 30-year-old southpaw completed a 40-pitch bullpen session earlier this week and figures to have some workload limitations this weekend in Mexico City’s extremely hitter-friendly high-altitude environment. His return will provide Houston’s injury-depleted starting rotation with a significant lift, but he’s probably best left on the bench this weekend for fantasy purposes. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:33 pm
    • Next start will be Monday
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Thursday that Paxton's next start will be at Arizona on Monday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Paxton would be on regular rest Sunday after he started Tuesday's game against the Nationals, but the Dodgers will go with a bullpen game Sunday in Toronto and give Paxton an extra day of rest. The southpaw has managed a 2.61 ERA but a 1.55 WHIP and 11:17 K:BB through 20.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:25 pm
    • Homers in return
Harper went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Thursday's 5-0 win over Cincinnati.

Advice: After missing Philadelphia's last three games while on the paternity list, Harper returned with a bang Thursday, launching a two-run homer off Nick Martinez to extend the Phillies lead to 4-0 in the third inning. After a slow start to the year, Harper's starting to turn it around at the plate -- he's hit safely in his last seven games, going 10-for-24 with two home runs and nine RBI in that span. He's boosted his slash line to .256/.347/.488 with five homers and 16 RBI across 22 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:11 pm
