    • Nails down 15th save
Holmes picked up the save over the Padres on Saturday, pitching a perfect ninth inning while striking out one.

Advice: Holmes made it look easy Saturday, retiring all three batters he faced in the ninth on a total of just seven pitches to record his 15th save of the season. The right-handed reliever has now converted his last two save opportunities after surrendering four runs to the Mariners on May 20, striking out at least one batter in each of those appearances. Holmes sits just one save behind Emmanuel Clase (16) for the American League lead after Saturday's outing. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:40 am

    • Fans eight in no-decision
Hicks came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 7-2 extra-inning win over the Mets, allowing one run on two hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: The right-hander generated a whopping 19 swinging strikes on 87 pitches in a strong effort, but he left the mound with the Giants down 1-0 before yet another late rally. Hicks has yet to give up more than three earned runs in a start this season, but he's pitched more than five innings only three times in 11 outings, somewhat muting his fantasy appeal in formats that use QS over wins. He'll take a 2.33 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 48:19 K:BB through 58 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Yankees. Rotowire.com Sunday, 3:56 am

    • Holmes picks up 15th save on Saturday
Clay Holmes tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Padres on Saturday.

Advice: Holmes pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning and struck out one on his way to his 15th save of the season, which is second among closers in all of baseball. He blew a save earlier this week, but has since bounced back with a four-out save and a clean ninth inning save. Holmes figures to continue racking up saves the way the Yankees’ season is going. • Jordan Hicks strikes out eight Mets in no-decision
Jordan Hicks allowed one run with eight strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision against the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: Hicks allowed just two hits and two walks over five frames on Saturday against the Mets. One of those hits left the yard as Starling Marte took him deep for a solo shot in the second inning. Hicks was otherwise excellent, striking out eight batters on 19 whiffs. His velocity was back up to 95 mph after sitting below 92 mph his last time out. The 27-year-old right-hander has broken out as a starter in San Francisco, posting a 2.33 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and a 48/19 K/BB ratio across 58 innings. He lines up for a home matchup against the Yankees on Friday. Rotoworld Saturday, 1:54 pm

    • Rebounds for 14th save
Holmes earned the save in Thursday's 5-0 win over Seattle, allowing two hits while striking out two in 1.1 innings.

Advice: He came on in relief in the eighth after Nick Burdi loaded the bases. Holmes induced a grounder off the bat of Luke Raley for the final out before working around a pair of singles in the ninth to earn his 14th save. It's a nice bounce-back effort from Holmes, after he allowed four runs in a blown save against Seattle on Monday, the first four runs he's allowed this season. Overall, the 31-year-old right-hander sports a 1.64 ERA with a 1.23 WHIP and 25:6 K:BB across 22 innings this year. Rotowire.com Thursday, 2:46 pm

    • Takes loss against Red Sox
Adam (2-1) allowed two earned runs on two hits and two walks while striking out one across one inning to take the loss Tuesday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Adam entered the game in the eighth inning with the score tied, 2-2. He settled in after allowing the first three batters he faced to reach base, though he was unable to recover from his early struggles. The outing snapped a seven-appearance scoreless stretch, and Adam has been excellent overall this season by maintaining a 2.05 ERA and 1.00 WHIP across 22 innings to go along with three saves and 10 holds.
