Michael Wacha allowed four runs on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings in a loss to the Tigers.
Advice: The veteran also struck out three and walked nobody. The changeup was really the only pitch working for Wacha today, and even though that usually leads the way for him, Wacha wasn’t able to get much help from his other pitches, including a curve that didn’t even find the strike zone 30 percent of the time. Wacha doesn’t have a high ceiling, but his floor is usually a little safer than this; he just needs to maintain his command. He gets a tough matchup against the Rangers next week.
