      Christopher Morel went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk on Saturday against the Brewers.

      Advice: After drawing a walk in the first inning, Morel took Tobias Myers deep for a two-run homer in the third to extend the Cubs lead. Morel can certainly hit homers in bunches, as he’s now gone yard in three straight games and four of his last six. The 24-year-old third baseman is slashing .213/.292/.426 with seven homers, 20 runs scored, 20 RBI, and three steals across 137 plate appearances. Despite the low batting average, Morel has significantly cut down his strikeout rate so far this season, a good sign that we can see his numbers improve as we get into the summer.       Advice: Arenado gave St. Louis an early lead with a two-run double in the first inning before adding another RBI double in the fifth. Over his previous 13 games, he'd posted a disappointing .614 OPS with just one multi-hit performance, while Friday's game was the first time he'd driven in multiple runs since April 20.       Nolan Arenado drove in all three runs for the Cardinals while doubling twice against the White Sox on Friday.

      Advice: Arenado doubled home two runs in the first, and another in the fifth. The 33-year-old has picked up eight two-baggers in the 2024 campaign, and the pair of hits ups his slash to .279/.338/.369.       Advice: Morel snapped a scoreless tie with two outs in the sixth inning, launching a solo shot to centerfield off Joe Ross to put the Cubs ahead 1-0. Morel now has homers in back-to-back games and three in his last five contests following a span of 16 games without a long ball.       Christopher Morel connected on a three-run homer Thursday in an extra-inning loss to the Mets.

      Advice: Morel extended the Cubs’ lead to 4-0 in the fifth with a three-run blast off Adrian Houser. The second-year infielder has gone deep five times, and he’s now up to 17 RBI over Chicago’s 32 games.       Brujan is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rockies, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Brujan had started in five of the previous six games, with the first three coming at third base and the last two coming at shortstop. He had been filling in for Tim Anderson (thumb) the past two days, but Anderson is on track to return to his usual spot at shortstop for the series finale with the Rockies. Brujan looks set to vie with Emmanuel Rivera for playing time at the hot corner moving forward, though both could be headed for reserve roles soon with Jake Burger (oblique) having already initiated a rehab assignment and poised to return from the 10-day injured list in the near future.
