    • Christopher Morel continues power surge vs. Brewers
Christopher Morel went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk on Saturday against the Brewers.

Advice: After drawing a walk in the first inning, Morel took Tobias Myers deep for a two-run homer in the third to extend the Cubs lead. Morel can certainly hit homers in bunches, as he’s now gone yard in three straight games and four of his last six. The 24-year-old third baseman is slashing .213/.292/.426 with seven homers, 20 runs scored, 20 RBI, and three steals across 137 plate appearances. Despite the low batting average, Morel has significantly cut down his strikeout rate so far this season, a good sign that we can see his numbers improve as we get into the summer. • Slugs homer in victory Friday
Hernandez went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-3 extra-innings win against Atlanta.

Advice: Offense was sparse for both teams until extra innings, and Hernandez's solo shot in the fourth held up as the decisive margin until Ronald Acuna tied the score with a solo shot of his own in the eighth. Hernandez's long ball was his seventh of the season -- he's tied with Shohei Ohtani for the team lead in that category and ranks third with 23 RBI. Hernandez has slugged at least 22 homers in every full campaign since 2018 and is well on pace to meet that mark again in his first season as a Dodger. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:40 am
    • Homers again Friday
Morel went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Morel snapped a scoreless tie with two outs in the sixth inning, launching a solo shot to centerfield off Joe Ross to put the Cubs ahead 1-0. Morel now has homers in back-to-back games and three in his last five contests following a span of 16 games without a long ball. The 24-year-old third baseman is slashing .210/.286/.403 through 133 plate appearances this year with six homers, 18 RBI, 19 runs scored and three stolen bases. Rotowire.com Friday, 2:27 pm

    • Starts against lefty
Carter started in center field and went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Thursday's 6-0 win over Washington.

Advice: Carter got the rare start against a left-hander and produced his second hit in 16 at-bats against a southpaw. Texas manager Bruce Bochy has shied away from using Carter in these situations but gave him a shot Thursday with Leody Taveras getting the night off. Rangers general manager Chris Young explained to Kennedi Landry of MLB.com that at this point in his MLB career, Carter has not faced the quality of stuff that major-league lefties possess, suggesting the team is bringing the 21-year-old along slowly in that regard. "I think [Bochy] is doing a very good job of giving him his fair share of at-bats against lefties knowing that there's only one way to develop, and that's to go through it," the GM said. Young also noted Carter's advanced aptitude and is confident he'll eventually succeed against all pitchers. Rotowire.com Friday, 3:33 am

    • Christopher Morel swats three-run homer in loss
Christopher Morel connected on a three-run homer Thursday in an extra-inning loss to the Mets.

Advice: Morel extended the Cubs’ lead to 4-0 in the fifth with a three-run blast off Adrian Houser. The second-year infielder has gone deep five times, and he’s now up to 17 RBI over Chicago’s 32 games. It’s nice to see some offensive success again, as Morel has scuffled as of late to drop his line to .209/.287/.383. Rotoworld Thursday, 2:11 pm

    • Nabs second steal
Morel went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Mets.

Advice: The steal was his second of the season, and both pilfers have come in his last eight contests. Morel is struggling to get going with his bat, however -- through 29 games he's slashing a meager .215/.292/.374 with four homers, 14 RBI and 17 runs. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 7:46 pm

    • Not facing lefty
Carter is out of Tuesday's lineup against the Nationals.

Advice: Carter has now sat out each of the Rangers' last three games against left-handed pitching and seems to be falling into a platoon. Wyatt Langford will draw the start in left while Davis Wendzel will handle DH duties Tuesday. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:01 pm

    • On bench for matinee
Canha is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.

Advice: Canha started the previous seven games and hit .407 with three doubles and two homers during that span, but he'll take a seat for Tuesday's matinee. Riley Greene will receive a turn at designated hitter while Wenceel Perez gets a start in the outfield. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:36 am

    • Teoscar Hernández drives in two in victory
Teoscar Hernández finished 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI as the Dodgers topped the Diamondbacks 8-4 on Monday.

Advice: Hernández was the exit velocity champ tonight, hitting balls 110.8, 107.9 and 103.7 mph. His .263/.326/.466 line isn’t quite stellar, but with six homers, 22 RBI and three steals in 31 games, he’s definitely meeting expectations for fantasy purposes. Rotoworld Monday, 10:41 pm
