    • Nolan Jones dealing with right knee soreness
Nolan Jones (back) has paused a minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque due to right knee soreness.

Advice: Jones underwent a precautionary MRI that came back clean, but will still have his rehab assignment paused for at least a few days to rest and recover before getting back into game action. The 26-year-old slugger has been on the shelf since late April due to a lower back strain after slashing a lackluster .170/.243/.277 with one homer and two steals in 26 contests. • Rehab halted
Jones (back) has had his rehab assignment at Triple-A Albuquerque paused because of right knee soreness stemming from a slide, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Advice: A MRI came back clean for Jones, who hasn't played for Albuquerque since Friday. The outfielder was placed on the 10-day injured list April 30 with a lower-back strain and had just started his rehab assignment Wednesday. It seemed like the 26-year-old was nearing a return and was trending toward being activated after Albuquerque's game Sunday, but this latest development scuttled that timeline. • Adolis Garcia (forearm) out again Tuesday vs. PHI
Adolis Garcia is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Phillies.

Advice: There was some talk that Garcia could return Tuesday from his forearm injury, but he’ll be out at least one more game. Derek Hill — who was called up from Triple-A Round Rock prior to the game — will get the start in Garcia’s absence. He should be considered day-to-day at this stage. Rotoworld Tuesday, 12:46 pm
    • Remaining on bench Tuesday
Garcia (forearm) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game at Philadelphia.

Advice: The 31-year-old was scratched from Sunday's lineup due to right forearm discomfort, but he was cleared of a serious injury when medical imaging came back clean. Garcia will still sit for the second straight game Tuesday, allowing Derek Hill, who had his contract selected from Triple-A Round Rock, to receive a start in right field. • Homers in win
Rafaela went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Monday's 5-0 win over the Rays.

Advice: Rafaela's two-run shot in the fifth inning was his fifth of the season and snapped an 0-for-16 skid. There have been several skids for Rafaela during his first full season in the majors; the 23-year-old is batting just .195 through 47 games. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 3:38 am

    • Ceddanne Rafaela goes deep in win over Rays
Ceddanne Rafaela belted a two-run homer on Monday in the Red Sox’ win over the Rays.

Advice: Rafaela took Rays starter Taj Bradley deep for a two-run shot -- his fifth long ball of the season -- in the fifth inning to give Boston a commanding five-run lead at the time. It was his second round-tripper in his last six contests. The 23-year-old rookie doesn’t offer a ton of over-the-fence pop, but he’s easily going to reach double-digit homers and steals in his full-season debut. Rotoworld Monday, 6:28 pm

    • Adolis Garcia could be available on Tuesday
According to Rangers Today’s Jeff Wilson, Adolis Garcia (forearm) could be available to play on Tuesday.

Advice: In his Monday newsletter, Wilson mentioned that “all looked good” with Garcia’s MRI and that “Garcia could be available Tuesday in the opener against the Phillies.” That’s a huge sigh of relief for both the Rangers and fantasy managers. It’s not for certain that Garcia will actually be in the lineup on Tuesday, but it sounds like the slugging outfielder will avoid the IL and not miss many more games, if he misses any at all. • Adolis Garcia (forearm) undergoes MRI on Sunday
Adolis Garcia underwent an MRI exam on his injured right forearm on Sunday which came back clean for any structural damage.

Advice: The 31-year-old slugger was scratched from the Angels’ lineup on Sunday due to a right forearm issue. It looks like he avoided anything serious though and Rangers’ skipper Bruce Bochy told reporters that he expects Garcia to return to the team’s starting lineup on Tuesday. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:47 pm
    • Imaging comes back clean
Garcia (forearm) underwent imaging on his forearm Sunday, which came back clean according to manager Bruce Bochy, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.

Advice: Garcia was scratched from the lineup ahead of Sunday's series finale with the Angels due to right forearm discomfort, but he appears to have avoided any sort of significant injury. The team has an off day Monday, so the outfielder's next opportunity to return to the lineup will come Tuesday on the road versus the Phillies. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:43 pm
