      Connor Wong is starting behind the plate and batting third for the Red Sox on Monday against the Rays.

      Advice: Wong has hit as high as second this season but only against left-handed pitching, so having him hit third with Rafael Devers and Tyler O’Neill both in the lineup is surprising. The Red Sox are clearly looking to spark some offense, and Wong is hitting .364/.417/.500 in six games in May with just a 21% strikeout rate, so Boston is looking to see if his hot bat can spark their offense.       Torres went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 10-6 win over Tampa Bay.

      Advice: Torres came into the contest batting .156 through 10 games in May and failed to reach base in his first three plate appearances Sunday. However, he came up big in the eighth inning, smashing a three-run shot to increase the Yankees' lead to 9-5.       Jones (back) will join Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday but will not immediately begin a rehab assignment, MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Jones is traveling to Albuquerque with Kris Bryant (back), but he's behind his teammate in his recovery process.       Buxton (knee) ran the bases at Target Field on Saturday, and the Twins are optimistic he can be activated from the injured list Tuesday, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

      Advice: Julien led the game off with a single and added another base knock in the top of the eighth, stealing second base and scoring on an RBI double by Max Kepler in the frame. The stolen base was his fifth of the season and third over the last four games. The season-long stats don’t look great, but he’s 10-for-34 in May, which is a .323 average. The bigger issue for him is he has 11 strikeouts to just one walk over the same timeframe, which highlights some of the concerns with his profile right now.       Gleyber Torres went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in a win over the Rays on Sunday.

      Advice: Torres’ big fly was a 395-foot shot that left the bat at 103 mph for his second home run of the season. It’s been a rough season for Torres and was a rough week overall, going just 2-for-19 combined against the Astros and Rays. Perhaps the 27-year-old is trying to do too much in his contract season, but he’s been making more contact recently so it’s best to hold onto him in fantasy leagues because he’s too talented a hitter to keep performing at this level all season.       Volpe went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base in a loss to Tampa Bay on Saturday.

      Advice: Volpe was the only Yankee to stand out offensively in the loss -- he was responsible for three of the team's five hits, plated both of the club's runs on a second-inning single and added a stolen base to boot. The young shortstop has reached base safely via hit or walk in nine straight contests, slashing .286/.375/.486 with two homers, seven RBI, seven runs and a 5:11 BB:K over that span.
