    • Nolan Jones heading out on rehab assignment
Nolan Jones (back) will join Triple-A Albuquerque to begin a minor league rehab assignment next week.

Advice: Kris Bryant (back) will start his rehab assignment on Tuesday, with Jones likely a day or two behind him. Rockies’ manager Bud Black said Sunday that both injured outfielders could return to the team at some point during their upcoming road trip. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:19 pm

    • Belts eighth homer
Alvarez went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, an additional run and a double in a 4-3 victory versus the Yankees on Thursday.

Advice: Alvarez helped Houston get off to a quick start with his first-inning solo blast. He then knocked a double in the fifth inning and came around to score on a Jeremy Pena single. Alvarez had been mired in a bad slump coming into Thursday, going 3-for-32 over his previous nine games since hitting two homers against Colorado on April 27. His season slash line of .245/.325/.448 remains well below his career norm. Rotowire.com Thursday, 11:20 pm

    • Ready to increase activity
Jones (back) did light throwing prior to Thursday's game against the Giants and will continue to ramp up his activity Friday or Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Jones has been out since April 30 and did light throwing and running drills Saturday. If this weekend goes according to plan, he could head out on a rehab assignment in the coming days. Rotowire.com Thursday, 8:16 pm

    • Yordan Alvarez goes deep in win over Yankees
Yordan Alvarez went 2-for-5 with a solo homer on Thursday, powering the Astros to a 4-3 victory over the Yankees.

Advice: Alvarez kicked off the scoring in the opening frame by taking Yankees starter Marcus Stroman deep for his eighth round-tripper of the season. It was the first time he’s left the yard since a two-homer explosion back on April 27, snapping a nine-game homerless drought. The 26-year-old four-category fantasy superstar is batting .245/.325/.448 with 21 runs scored, eight homers and 19 RBI through 163 plate appearances. Rotoworld Thursday, 5:07 pm

    • Racks up five RBI in win
Soto went 3-for-5 with a home run and five total RBI in Wednesday's 9-4 victory versus the Astros.

Advice: Soto put New York on the board in the first inning with a 440-foot two-run blast to center field. He added a run-scoring single in the second frame, an RBI groundout in the sixth and a run-scoring single in the eighth. Soto ranks second in the majors with 33 RBI on the campaign thanks largely to his nine homers and .423 batting average with runners in scoring position. Rotowire.com Thursday, 12:37 am

    • Juan Soto homers, drives in five in win vs. Astros
Juan Soto went 3-for-5 with a home run and five RBI to lead the Yankees to a 9-4 victory over the Astros on Wednesday.

Advice: Soto put the Yankees on the board in the first inning with a solo blast off Spencer Arrighetti. He drove in another run with a single in the second, then plated a run with a groundout in the sixth. Soto made it five RBI on the day with a base hit in the eighth. The 25-year-old star outfielder is hitting an outstanding .333/.434/.583 with nine homers 26 runs scored, 32 RBI, and four steals across 173 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:51 pm

    • Losing grip on regular role
Biggio is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies.

Advice: Biggio will hit the bench for the fifth time in six games, with three of those absences coming while the Blue Jays have faced left-handed starting pitchers and two coming versus righties. The 29-year-old has maintained a strong-side platoon role at second base for much of the season, but with his OPS sitting at .621 through 29 games, Biggio looks like he could lose work to Davis Schneider moving forward. • Hits homer, sac fly
Haniger went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and an RBI sacrifice fly during Tuesday's 10-6 win over Minnesota.

Advice: Haniger got the Mariners on the board in the second inning, tagging Bailey Ober for a long ball to lead off the frame. The homer could be what Haniger needs to break the slump he's currently in, as he's gone 7-for-56 (.125) with a 35.6 percent strikeout rate since April 20. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:51 pm

    • Mitch Haniger hits fifth homer of season in win
Mitch Haniger went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in the Mariners’ win over the Twins on Tuesday.

Advice: Haniger’s solo blast in the second inning put the Mariners on the board first, and has now hit safely in three-straight games. He would later hit a sacrifice fly in the ninth inning to give the Mariners an 8-6 lead in a game that went back-and-forth throughout the night. The veteran right fielder has struggled to get on base this season and is now slashing .215/.273/.372 on the year. While he remains good for the occasional homer, batting in an offense that ranks near the bottom of the league in runs scored doesn’t give him much upside at this time. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:03 pm
