      Advice: Miller posted his worst start of the season, allowing nine baserunners and seven runs, each marking season worsts. The Seattle right-hander was cruising through three scoreless innings before allowing four runs in the fourth, rounded out with a three-run blast by MJ Melendez. The outing pushed Miller's WHIP north of one, as it now stands at 1.02 to go with a 3.81 ERA over 75.2 innings.       King (5-4) allowed four hits and one walk while striking out five over five scoreless innings to earn the win Friday over the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: King wasn't all that efficient, needing 98 pitches (63 strikes) to get through five games, but that's the only knock on his performance. He's been excellent over his last three starts, allowing just two runs on 11 hits and four walks with 16 strikeouts over his last 17 innings. King is at a 3.58 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 83:32 K:BB through 78 innings across 14 appearances (13 starts).       Yordan Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a three-run double and a walk versus the Angels in Friday’s win.

      Pham (ankle) was scheduled to start running again Friday, MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Pham hit the injured list Tuesday after suffering a sprained ankle Sunday. However, manager Pedro Grifol noted that Pham already feels better and is only expected to be on the injured list for the short term.       Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters after Friday’s extra-innings loss to the Dodgers that Juan Soto (forearm) wasn’t available.

      Advice: Soto left Thursday’s game with inflammation in his forearm, and there was some speculation that the outfielder could be available off the bench for Friday’s contest. Several possibilities passed where Soto could have entered, but Boone kept the outfielder on the bench.     • Delivers quality start
      Allen allowed two runs on four hits and three walks over six frames in a no-decision Friday. He struck out three during the loss to Miami.

      Advice: Allen served up back-to-back solo homers to Bryan De La Cruz and Josh Bell in the third inning but otherwise kept Miami's offense fairly quiet. It was a needed bounce-back after Allen was tagged with seven runs through 1.2 innings in his last appearance. He posted a 6.26 ERA in six May starts despite two of them being scoreless outings.       Logan Allen yielded two runs through six innings Friday in a no-decision against the Marlins.

      Advice: Allen bounced back after getting lit up by the Rockies last time out. He’s one out shy of having four quality starts in five tries (3 ER in 5 2/3 IP vs. the Angels on May 24), but there’s nothing much to get excited about here.       Aaron Civale allowed four runs in five innings and took the loss against the Orioles on Friday.



      Advice: Civale gave up seven hits, walked one and struck out eight. He’s won just two of his 13 starts this year. Tampa Bay acquired Civale last year and he had a 5.36 ERA in 10 starts. In 13 starts this year, his ERA is 5.91. If the Rays of all teams can’t fix him, I don’t know if any team can. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Cubs at home next week.
