    • Wilyer Abreu homers in win
Wilyer Abreu went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, single, and walk in the Red Sox 8-5 win over the Rays on Wednesday.

Advice: Abreu scalded his home run at 107.1 MPH and has left very little doubt this season that he can hit right-handed pitchers. He’s been in the lineup against every righty since April 9th while facing just three lefties over the same span. He’s a great asset in daily leagues where you can mix and match him the same way the Red Sox do. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:44 pm

    • Ryan Pepiot shaky in return
Ryan Pepiot allowed three earned runs across four innings in his return to the Rays’ rotation. He walked four and struck out three against the Red Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Pepiot had been on the shelf since May 5th after a Starling Marte line drive struck his leg and sent him to the IL. He was cruising early, but unraveled a bit in the fifth inning allowing the first three batters to reach base before being pulled. Both of his inherited runners came around to score. Pepiot leaned on his fastball, throwing it for two thirds of his pitches, and didn’t seem to have the best feel of his slider as the Red Sox swung and missed at it just once. • Jeimer Candelario goes deep in loss to Padres
Jeimer Candelario slugged his fifth home run of the season on Wednesday, but it wasn’t enough to power the Reds past the Padres.

Advice: Candelario got the Reds on the board in the home half of the first inning with a 387-foot (104.9 mph EV) solo shot off of Michael King. He also smacked a two-out single in the sixth inning and scored on a two-run double by Tyler Stephenson. He finished the night 2-for-4 and is now hitting .223/.289/.401 with five long balls and 18 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Wednesday, 5:54 pm

    • Bobby Witt Jr. plates two in victory over Tigers
Bobby Witt Jr. went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI on Wednesday, leading the Royals to an 8-3 victory over the Tigers.

Advice: Witt did his damage in the late stages of the contest, tacking on a pair of insurance runs with a two-run double in the seventh inning. The 23-year-old fantasy superstar is on fire at the moment, batting .370 (10-for-27) with two homers and one steal over his last seven games. Rotoworld Wednesday, 2:39 pm
    • Launches clutch three-run homer
Gimenez went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Mets.

Advice: Gimenez provided a key blast in Cleveland's comeback victory, ripping a three-run homer off Jose Quintana with two outs in the sixth inning to tie the game 3-3. While the long ball was Gimenez's lone hit in the three-game series, he's gone 14-for-39 (.359) with three homers in his last 10 contests. The 25-year-old second baseman is now slashing .266/.327/.386 with four homers, 30 RBI, 28 runs scored and seven steals across 47 games this season. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 2:21 pm
    • Andrés Giménez laces three-run homer in victory
Andrés Giménez hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth Wednesday in the Guardians’ 6-3 defeat of the Mets.

Advice: The Mets took a 3-0 lead in the fourth today, but the Guardians did all of the scoring after that. The homer off Jose Quintana was Giménez’s fourth of the year. He’s still not hitting the ball like he did two years ago, but that his strikeout rate is down to 14% has helped him bat .266 and hitting second for the Guardians has given him a nice boost in runs scored (28) and RBI (30). • Anthony Santander returns to right field
Anthony Santander is back in right field Wednesday for the first time since suffering a bruised knee last week.

Advice: Santander was used as a designated hitter in his previous three starts. He’s batting cleanup today against the Cardinals. Rotoworld Wednesday, 10:31 am

    • Ryan Pepiot activated ahead of Wednesday’s start

Advice: Pepiot will make his return to the Rays rotation against the Red Sox tonight. Rotoworld Wednesday, 10:02 am

    • Activated ahead of start
The Rays activated Pepiot (lower leg) from the 15-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start Wednesday versus the Red Sox in Tampa.

Advice: Pepiot will rejoin the rotation Wednesday after missing the previous two weeks with a lower left leg contusion. The right-hander didn't make a rehab start, so it's possible he will be relatively limited from a pitch-count perspective versus Boston. Pepiot will bring a 3.68 ERA and nifty 41:11 K:BB over 36.2 innings into Wednesday's proceedings. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:52 am
