      Advice: After blowing the save Saturday night, Finnegan was able to convert for his 22nd save of the campaign Sunday. However, he flirted with danger as Ryan McMahon and Brendan Rodgers hit back-to-back singles to start the final half-inning. Finnegan kept the game-tying run at second and retired three straight to close out the contest. The 32-year-old trails only Ryan Helsley and Emmanuel Clase for the most saves in baseball.       Duran went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI, a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's win against Cincinnati.

      Advice: Duran knocked an RBI double in the fourth inning and an RBI single in the sixth. He's produced four straight multi-hit performances, eight in his last 11 games, and 12 in 20 appearances this month. Duran is hitting .384 (33-for-86) with 12 extra-base hits and nine steals in June.       Lopez (7-6) allowed two hits and one walk while striking out 14 over eight shutout innings to earn the win Sunday over the Athletics.

      Advice: Lopez retired the first 17 batters he faced before Lawrence Butler's sixth-inning single. This was Lopez's first scoreless outing of the season as well as his longest start, and the 14 strikeouts were a season high. He'd given up 14 runs over 13 innings across his first three starts in June. Even with this gem, Lopez has a 5.11 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 101:19 K:BB through 88 innings across 16 starts this year. Considering he's posted a career-worst 1.6 HR/9, it's likely a fair amount of his struggles have come from bad luck with the long ball, as the rest of his underlying numbers are in line with his usual level of performance.       Advice: Suarez got off to a rocky start when the Astros plated four runs in the first inning, beginning with Jose Altuve's leadoff shot on Suarez's first pitch of the afternoon. Suarez was 3-0 through 14 appearances but has now taken back-to-back losses. Over his last two starts, he's been tagged with eight runs in 8.2 innings, bumping his season ERA from 1.61 to 2.70 through 49.2 frames. Part of his recent struggles can be attributed to his command issues, as he's walked 11 batters over his last three starts. Suarez is currently in line for a home matchup against the Rangers.       Valdez (6-5) allowed a run on six hits and two walks over seven innings Sunday, striking out seven and earning a win against Baltimore.

      Advice: Valdez rolled through five shutout frames without facing too much trouble before Jordan Westburg belted a solo shot in the sixth inning. The Astros gave Valdez plenty of run support as he halted a brief two-start losing streak. It was the third time this year he's struck out at least seven batters, and each of those outings have come in his last eight starts. He's produced an impressive 2.73 ERA through 33 innings this month, lowering his season mark to 3.68 across 80.2 frames.       Kyle Finnegan recorded his 22nd save in a 2-1 win over the Rockies on Sunday.

      Advice: It was not without drama, which is par for the course with Finnegan’s saves. He allowed back-to-back singles to start the inning, but then got Nolan Jones to strike out, Hunter Goodman to fly out, and caught Michael Toglia looking to end the game. Finnegan has a 2.23 ERA on the season but could lose a significant amount of fantasy value if he gets traded at the deadline.     • Orioles set to promote Heston Kjerstad on Monday
      Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports that the Orioles plan to promote Heston Kjerstad from Triple-A Norfolk on Monday.

      Advice: The 25-year-old slugger doesn’t have anything left to prove at the Triple-A level where he’s slashing .301/.390/.601 with 16 homers, 58 RBI and a pair of stolen bases in 55 games. It’s unclear how he’ll be utilized in Baltimore though. He’s likely to fill the role that Kyle Stowers had before his demotion earlier this week, getting nothing more than the occasional start against right-handed pitching.     • Pablo López strikes out 14 in victory over A’s
      Pablo López delivered his finest start of the season on Sunday, racking up 14 strikeouts over eight innings of shutout baseball in a victory over the Athletics.

      Advice: López allowed just two hits — both of them singles — and one walk on the brilliant afternoon. The 28-year-old hurler bounced back in a huge way after being shelled by the Rays his last time out, looking like the star hurler that we saw dominating on a nightly basis for the Twins during the 2023 campaign. He piled up 19 swings and misses on 102 pitches in the contest — 10 of those on his fastball alone — while posting a CSW of 31 percent.       Kjerstad is set to be called up to the major-league roster Monday, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

      Advice: Kjerstad spent a little over two weeks with the Orioles in late April and early May, going 2-for-14 with two walks and six strikeouts while appearing in seven contests. Since being sent down to Triple- Norfolk on May 13, the 25-year-old produced a .268 average with six home runs, 28 RBI, 23 runs and a stolen base over 34 contests, and he'll look to carry his momentum into his second stint with Baltimore in 2024. It's unclear who Kjerstad will replace on the major-league roster, but with Colton Cowser struggling to a .170 average with four extra-base hits over 53 at-bats in June, it's possible that Cowser is the odd man out.
