    • Activated, starting Monday
Arias (personal) was reinstated from the family medical emergency list and will start at shortstop and bat eighth in Monday's series opener in Baltimore.

Advice: Cleveland sent infielder Angel Martinez back to Triple-A Columbus to make room on the 26-man active roster for Arias, who rejoins the big club after missing the previous three games while tending to a personal matter. Though he'll immediately enter the lineup in his return to the Guardians as the Orioles send southpaw Cade Povich to the mound, the righty-hitting Arias is expected to serve as a bench player against right-handed pitching more often than not. • Gabriel Arias activated from emergency list
Guardians activated INF Gabriel Arias from the family medical emergency list.

Advice: Arias, who mostly plays against lefties, will return to his utility role after a three-day absence from the team. Rotoworld Jun 24, 1:44 pm

    • Stuck in reserve role sans Bichette
Clement is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox.

Advice: Toronto has a spot open its everyday infield after Bo Bichette (calf) was placed on the injured list Tuesday, but Clement doesn't look as though he'll be the main beneficiary. Clement will take a seat for the second straight game while Addison Barger gets another start at third base as Isiah Kiner-Falefa shifts over to Bichette's usual spot at shortstop. • Rough start in leadoff role
Schuemann hit leadoff in both of the Athletics' games against the Twins over the weekend after Abraham Toro's (hamstring) placement on the injured list, going 0-for-8 with four strikeouts.

Advice: Schuemann, who went into Saturday's game having reached safely in four straight, may not be long for the top of the order given the results, although manager Mark Kotsay might exhibit some patience. Toro has put together a .240 average and .613 OPS as the leadoff hitter this season, so the standard he's set isn't extraordinarily high by any means. Nevertheless, there are several other candidates Kotsay could turn to for the role, so Schuemann, who's most frequently hit in the No. 7 and No. 9 spots this season, could soon shift back down the order. • Goes deep in easy win
McKinstry went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run in Sunday's 11-2 win over the White Sox.

Advice: McKinstry was one of four Detroit players to go deep and perhaps the most surprising one, as this was just his second of the season across 51 games. The utility player is batting only .185, and while he's seeing more playing time right now with Javier Baez (back) on the injured list, McKinstry may be better suited to a reserve role due to his limited offensive abilities. • Sitting Sunday
Clement is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Clement will begin Sunday's game in the dugout after going 0-for-4 with one strikeout in Saturday's 6-3 loss. Addison Barger will start at the hot corner Sunday and bat sixth against Cleveland right-hander Triston McKenzie. Rotowire.com Jun 23, 10:21 am

    • Busy day in win
Lopez went 3-for-4 with an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base in a 5-1 win over the Tigers on Saturday.

Advice: Lopez singled in the third inning then hit an RBI double in the fourth to give the White Sox a 2-0 lead. In the sixth frame, he singled, stole second and came around to score on a single by Lenyn Sosa. Lopez entered the contest just 10-for-50 in June. The second baseman is now hitting .239 with six RBI and three steals over 209 at-bats this season. Rotowire.com Jun 22, 5:29 pm

    • Records second steal Friday
Crawford went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run in an extra-inning loss to the Marlins on Friday.

Advice: The veteran shortstop hit safely for the third time in the last four games while also posting his second stolen base of the season, with the first having come back on May 30. Crawford's modest recent success aside, he mostly remains mired in a season-long funk -- his current .207 average and .299 OBP are both career lows, while his 21.2 percent strikeout rate is his highest since 2018. • Sitting again Saturday
McKinstry isn't in the Tigers' lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: McKinstry has gone 0-for-18 with eight strikeouts in his last six contests, and he'll now sit down for the second game in a row Saturday. Ryan Kreidler will pick up another start at shortstop, batting ninth. Rotowire.com Jun 22, 7:25 am
