    Jo Adell is absent from the Angels’ starting lineup for Wednesday’s series finale against the Brewers.

    Advice: The streaky 25-year-old outfielder has been more cold than hot as of late — slashing a cringe-inducing .118/.193/.196 with one homer, six RBI and a 23/4 K/BB ratio over 57 plate appearances in 16 games since the calendar flipped to June.   • Tarik Skubal gives up two homers in loss to Braves
    Tarik Skubal surrendered five runs — four earned — in four innings Wednesday in a loss to the Braves.

    Advice: Skubal struck out seven and gave up only five hard-hit balls. Unfortunately, two of those hard-hit balls went 426 and 407 feet, as Skubal allowed two homers for just the second time this season.   • Takes second straight loss
    Skubal (8-3) took the loss Wednesday against Atlanta, allowing five runs (four earned) on seven hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out seven.

    Advice: Most of the damage against Skubal came via the long ball Wednesday -- he gave up a two-run homer to Sean Murphy in the third inning before Ramon Laureano tacked on a solo shot in the fourth. The 27-year-old Skubal has now lost back-to-back starts for the first time this season -- he's given up eight earned runs over 10.1 innings in that span. The left-hander still sports a solid 2.50 ERA on the year with a 0.97 WHIP and 105:18 K:BB across 90 innings. Skubal is lined up for another tough matchup next week at home versus the Phillies. It’s just the third time this season that he’s been out of the starting lineup and the first time due to injury. Vidal Bruján is playing center field today after his game-winning hit last night.     Chisholm was scratched from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Cardinals due to right hamstring tightness, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

    Advice: The Marlins are labeling the move as precautionary, and Chisholm will be available off the bench, if needed. Chisholm will perhaps be able to return to the lineup Friday against the Mariners following the team's off day Thursday.
