• Trea Turner set to ramp-up baseball activities
Trea Turner (hamstring) will progress to running the bases, fielding grounders and hitting in the batting cage on Saturday.

Advice: Phillies manager Rob Thomson indicated Saturday that Turner may not require a minor league rehab assignment, but he’s not expected to ramp-up baseball activities until next week’s series at Fenway Park in Boston. The 30-year-old fantasy star has been on the shelf since early May recovering from a left hamstring strain. It certainly sounds like he’ll be ready to return by mid-June. Rotoworld Today, 8:12 am

  • Jeff McNeil on the bench Saturday vs. Phillies
Jeff McNeil remains out of the lineup for Saturday’s London Series opener against the Phillies.

Advice: McNeil is out of the lineup for the fourth straight game and fifth time in New York’s last seven as his struggles at the dish continue. The 32-year-old infielder is batting .227/.296/.320 with three homers and three steals across 224 plate appearances. It’ll be Jose Iglesias at second base and batting eighth during Saturday’s series opener across the pond. Rotoworld Today, 7:35 am

  • Swipes 33rd bag
De La Cruz went 0-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Friday's 3-2 win over the Cubs.

Advice: The 22-year-old also struck out twice, and his 31.7 percent strikeout rate on the season has caught up with him -- De La Cruz is slashing .205/.286/.318 since the beginning of May with only three homers in 34 games. He continues to do damage when he is able to get on base however, and De La Cruz's 33 steals on the season leads the league by a healthy margin, as the Brewers' Brice Turang sits in second place with 22. • Sitting versus southpaw
McNeil isn't in the Mets' lineup Saturday against the Phillies, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: With left-hander Ranger Suarez slated to start on the mound for Philadelphia, the lefty-hitting McNeil will step out of the lineup Saturday. Jose Iglesias will get the nod to start at the keystone instead, batting eighth. Rotowire.com Today, 6:25 am

  • Pops sixth homer
Swanson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Reds.

Advice: The shortstop took Nick Lodolo deep in the sixth inning, but the Cubs were already in a 3-0 hole at that point. Swanson is beginning to show faint signs of life at the plate -- while he's batting just .233 (7-for-30) over the last eight games, four of those hits have gone for extra bases, including two of his six homers on the year. His 1:10 BB:K over that stretch remains an eyesore however, and his .628 OPS and 28.5 percent strikeout rate on the season would both be career worsts. Rotowire.com Today, 6:21 am

  • Could deploy at 3B
Arizona manager Torey Lovullo is considering giving Alexander more looks at third base, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Advice: With Geraldo Perdomo (knee) due back in the coming days, Lovullo is evaluating potential roster decisions to accommodate his return. Perdomo's pending return puts a focus on Alexander and Kevin Newman. Alexander, who made four appearances (two starts) at third base over the last 13 games, went 10-for-21 over a five-game hitting streak that ended Friday. At some point, the Diamondbacks may look for options to spell starting third baseman Eugenio Suarez, whose average dropped to .198 and is 2-for-23 over the last seven games. • Plays full game in field
Perdomo started at shortstop and went 0-for-4 for Triple-A Reno on Friday.

Advice: Perdomo played a third consecutive day for Reno and his first nine-inning game in the field. Including time spent in the Arizona Complex League, he's played six games and is 3-for-19. The Diamondbacks are considering roster options for Perdomo's pending return, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports. He'll slide back into his starting shortstop position, which puts the focus on Kevin Newman and Blaze Alexander. Rotowire.com Today, 5:19 am

  • Brendan Rodgers day-to-day with hamstring injury
Brendan Rodgers was removed from Friday’s game against the Cardinals with a left hamstring injury.

Advice: Rockies skipper Bud Black told reporters afterwards that Rodgers felt a small grab while running out a fielder’s choice in the fourth inning of Friday’s game, which led to his early exit. He added that Rodgers will rest and undergo treatment in the coming days in the hope that he’ll avoid a trip to the injured list. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. It doesn’t sound like he’ll return to Colorado’s lineup until early next week. Rotoworld Today, 4:37 am
  • Ketel Marte crushes 13th homer in blowout loss
Ketel Marte walloped a two-run homer on Friday in the Diamondbacks’ one-sided loss at the hands of the Padres.

Advice: Marte broke up a potential shutout with a seventh-inning blast off Padres reliever Wandy Peralta for his 13th big fly of the season. The 30-year-old second baseman has been a model of consistency in an otherwise turbulent campaign for the defending National League champions this season, batting .282 with 41 runs scored, 13 homers, 35 RBI and one steal through 63 games. Unfortunately, the stolen bases probably aren’t ever coming back to his early-career level, but he remains a reliable four-category fantasy contributor at the keystone in the prime of his career.
