• Orlando Arcia homers in win over Boston
Orlando Arcia went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over the Red Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: The home run was Arcia’s sixth of the year, and he’s now up to 21 RBI as well. Both of Arcia’s hits were over 100 mph, but he’s slashing just .235/.257/.385 on the year. Still, he plays pretty much every day for a lineup that still has the potential to put up runs in bunches. That makes him worthy of a roster spot in most fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:31 pm
  • Grabs 12th save
Bednar delivered a perfect ninth inning against the Dodgers on Tuesday to earn the save in a 1-0 victory.

Advice: It's the seventh straight scoreless appearance for Bednar, who's allowed just one run over his last 10.1 innings. After a rocky start to the year, Bednar's lowered his ERA to 5.92 with a 1.23 WHIP and 25:6 K:BB across 24.1 innings while going 12-for-15 in save opportunities. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:56 pm
  • David Bednar notches save in win over Dodgers
David Bednar pitched a scoreless ninth inning in a 1-0 win over the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Advice: Bednar didn’t allow a hit and also didn’t record a strikeout in the inning. The right-hander has thrown seven straight scoreless outings and has been scoreless in 10 of his last 11 appearances. After a rough start to the year, the All-Star is coming around to be one of the more reliable closers in fantasy again. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:53 pm
  • Keibert Ruiz goes 0-for-4 against Mets
Keibert Ruiz went 0-for-4 in the loss to the Mets on Tuesday.

Advice: We wonder how Riley Adams feels about being back in Triple-A while performing better than Ruiz both offensively and defensively these last two seasons. The 0-for tonight leaves Ruiz at .199/.239/.288 for 2024. He has to be better than this offensively, but the Nationals seem to be at a complete loss for ideas to improve his defense. • Throws bullpen session
Diaz (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Tuesday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Advice: Diaz threw 21 pitches during his mound session, and manager Carlos Mendoza said afterward that there is a good chance the 30-year-old reliever begins a rehab assignment in the minors Thursday. It's unclear how many minor-league reps the Mets will give their star closer, but the fact Diaz is already able to begin an assignment likely signals that he will only require a minimum-length stint on the IL. • Edwin Díaz to start rehab assignment this week
Edwin Díaz (shoulder) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Thursday.

Advice: Díaz threw a bullpen session on Tuesday without any issues and the Mets are hoping to have one of their primary closing options back on June 11, when first eligible to return. The electrifying 30-year-old righty hit the injured list back in late May with a right shoulder impingement. He’s struggled this season, but remains arguably the best option for New York manager Carlos Mendoza moving forward over Adam Ottavino, Jake Diekman and Reed Garrett. • On bench vs. lefty
Fraley is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Rockies.

Advice: With the Rockies sending southpaw Ty Blach to the mound Tuesday, the lefty-hitting Fraley will take a seat Tuesday. With him out of the lineup, Tyler Stephenson will serve as the DH and Luke Maile will start at catcher. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:12 pm

  • Taking seat Tuesday
Garcia is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Garcia started the previous four games but will sit Tuesday as lefty David Peterson takes the mound for the Mets. Ildemaro Vargas will start at the keystone and bat fifth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:52 pm
  • Andy Pages out of lineup Tuesday vs. Pirates
Andy Pages is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Pirates.

Advice: Pages normally gets the go against right-handed pitching, but the 23-year-old will sit with Jared Jones on the mound against the Pirates. Chris Taylor will hit ninth and play center field while Pages rests. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:13 pm
