• Jake Cronenworth goes 0-for-4 versus Marlins
Jake Cronenworth went 0-for-4 on Tuesday, leaving him 12-for-56 in his last 15 games.

Advice: Given his obvious decline in 2022 and ’23, Cronenworth was a very nice surprise to begin this year, batting .285/.349/.503 in his first 39 games. He’s slumped the last two weeks, but his exit velocity numbers are still encouraging enough to suggest that he’ll snap out of this and remain rather productive. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:13 pm
  • Absent from lineup
Vientos is not in the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader versus the Dodgers.

Advice: It will be Brett Baty handling third base and being tasked with trying to solve right-hander Tyler Glasnow. Vientos figures to be in the lineup for the nightcap against Gavin Stone. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:37 am

  • Cronenworth has double, RBI against Marlins Monday
Jake Cronenworth went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double and an RBI against the Marlins on Monday.

Advice: Cronenworth’s bases-loaded walk in the seventh inning was the difference in the Padres’ 2-1 victory over the Marlins. He continues to play second base after the Padres’ trade for Luis Arraez. Cronenworth’s average is up to .271 and his OPS is up to .806, both of which would be career-highs. Rotoworld Monday, 6:33 pm
  • Jeimer Candelario back in the lineup on Monday
Jeimer Candelario (neck) is back in the lineup on Monday against the Cardinals.

Advice: Candelario missed two games with a neck injury but is back in the lineup at third base and hitting third in the order. The 30-year-old has been turning the corner a bit in May, slashing .257/.313/.432 in 20 games in May with two home runs, 10 RBI, and just a 16.3 percent strikeout rate. He seems like a good bet to go on a hot streak in the coming weeks. Rotoworld Monday, 11:29 am

  • Back in lineup Monday
Candelario (neck) is in the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: He was scratched from Saturday's lineup due to neck stiffness and held out Sunday as well, but evidently Candelario is feeling better. The 30-year-old will return to third base and bat third against right-hander Lance Lynn. While the rest of the Reds' offense has sunk in May, Candelario has rebounded with an .835 OPS, five doubles and a couple homers in his last 17 games. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:50 am

  • Falls triple short of cycle
Olson went 3-for-5 with a home run, double, three RBI and a run scored Sunday against the Pirates.

Advice: Olson's eighth-inning blast off Aroldis Chapman was a no-doubter over the right field wall, clearing the stadium and splashing down in the Allegheny River. Olson had previously added a two-run double and finished the game just a triple short of the cycle. Over his last 13 games, Olson has six multi-hit efforts, batting .308 with four homers, two doubles, 11 RBI and six runs scored in that span. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:53 pm

  • Matt Olson with three hits, home run in win
Matt Olson went 3-for-5 with a home run, double, and three RBI against the Pirates on Sunday.

Advice: Olson paced the Braves in this one, smoking three hard-hit balls capitalized by a late, 107.8 MPH homer off of Aroldis Chapman. Olson’s finally breaking out of his early season malaise bringing his OPS up from .665 to .744 since May 8th. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:30 pm

  • On bench again Sunday
Vientos is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Advice: Though Vientos had seemed to overtake Brett Baty as the Mets' preferred third baseman earlier in the week, he now finds himself on the bench for the second straight day versus a right-handed starting pitcher (Logan Webb). Since getting a call-up from Triple-A Syracuse on May 15, Vientos has posted a 1.134 OPS in seven games, but he still looks like he'll be part of a timeshare at the hot corner with Baty. • Still out Sunday
Candelario (neck) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Candelario will miss out on a second straight start due to neck stiffness, but he said he'll be available off the bench for the series finale, per Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer. Santiago Espinal will fill in at third base for Candelario. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:10 am
