• Luis Matos delivers game-winning for Giants
Luis Matos delivered a game-winning sac fly in the bottom of the 10th as the Giants bested the Phillies 1-0 on Tuesday.

Advice: Matos was 0-for-3 in the contest before his fly to left entered the game. It’s hard to say if the Giants will keep both he and Heliot Ramos after Michael Conforto comes off the IL, something that should happen this weekend. The Giants consider Matos the better option in center, but Ramos has been the more impressive hitter to date. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago

  • Swipes bag in loss
McCarthy went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Rangers.

Advice: McCarthy was one of two Diamondbacks with a multi-hit effort Tuesday. He's logged a steal in each of his last two games, giving him five thefts on six attempts this season. The outfielder is 13-for-46 (.282) over 20 games in May, putting him right in line with his .284/.358/.404 slash line for the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:18 pm
  • Senzel has two hits, two RBI Monday
Nick Senzel went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI against the Braves on Monday.

Advice: Senzel hit a two-run double in the first inning to extend the Nationals lead to 4-0. He’s hitting just .221 and striking out a decent amount with a 24 percent strikeout percentage. Senzel is hitting for power, though, with a .183 ISO and his 111 wRC+ would be a career-high. Rotoworld Monday, 4:01 pm

  • Could return this week
Reds manager David Bell said Monday that Friedl (thumb) could return as soon as late this week or early next week, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Advice: Just six games into his return from a fractured right wrist, Friedl suffered a broken left thumb as a result of a hit-by-pitch. Fortunately for Friedl and the Reds, it doesn't sound like he will have to miss nearly as much action this time around. Bell has already said he thinks Friedl could bypass a rehab assignment. • May not need rehab
Friedl (thumb) has started hitting off a tee and may not require a rehab assignment, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Apparently, Friedl is progressing at such a rate that manager David Bell feels he can avoid any detours and jump back into the majors. The outfielder, who missed the first six weeks of the season with a wrist injury, made just 24 plate appearances before suffering a fractured left thumb. Rotowire.com Monday, 4:37 am

  • Returns with two hits, stolen base
Fraley went 2-for-4 with two singles and a stolen base in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Dodgers. He was picked off and caught stealing on another attempt.

Advice: After missing three starts due to a hand injury, Fraley was back in the cleanup spot against right-hander Walker Buehler. Fraley stole a base right away after his single in the first inning, his eighth steal of the campaign, which puts him on pace to surpass 20 stolen bases for a second consecutive season. The power has been severely lacking, however, as he still sits with just one home run and his SLG is down nearly 80 points from a year ago. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:03 am

  • Back in lineup
Fraley (hand) is starting in right field Saturday versus the Dodgers.

Advice: Fraley has been out of the Reds' lineup for the past three games after suffering a bruised hand during Tuesday's contest, though he was used as a pinch runner Thursday. He appears to have fully recovered ahead of Saturday's game and will now look to get hot at the plate after beginning the year with a .692 OPS -- his worst mark since joining the Reds in 2022. • Sitting down Saturday
Pages isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Saturday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Pages' single Friday broke an 0-for-12 skid at the plate, though he is still slashing just .200/.235/.325 across 85 plate appearances since the beginning of May. He'll get a day to regroup Saturday while Chris Taylor makes his first start of the year in center field, batting ninth. Rotowire.com Saturday, 2:04 pm

  • Andy Pages not in Dodgers lineup on Saturday
Andy Pages is not in the Dodgers’ starting lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Reds.

Advice: The 23-year-old rookie outfielder has been fighting it at the plate over his last 17 games — hitting a paltry .148/.197/.213 with one homer, four RBI and a 23/4 K/BB ratio over 66 plate appearances. Hopefully a day off to clear his head will help the cause. Chris Taylor will start in his place in center field and will bat ninth for the Dodgers against Hunter Greene and the Reds.
