    • Megill picks up fifth save of the season vs. PIT
Trevor Megill allowed one earned run over one inning while earning the save on Tuesday against the Pirates.

Advice: A Connor Joe home run in the ninth was the lone earned run Megill would give up in this one. The fourth-year vet also struck out two batters in this one and now has five saves on the season. The home run to Joe was the first homer Megill has allowed on the season, and he’s given up just two earned runs over 10 2/3 innings pitched. Sitting on a 1.69 ERA and 0.94 WHIP, Megill has been as solid as they come early in the year. Rotoworld Today, 7:20 pm

    • Priester allows four earned runs in loss to MIL
Quinn Priester allowed nine hits and four earned runs over six innings in the Pirates’ loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Priester got through the first inning unscathed but was lit up for multiple hits in the second inning, with the biggest hit coming on a two-run homer by Sal Frelick. RBI singles by Brice Turang and Christian Yelich would give the Brewers an early 4-0 lead before the inning finally came to an end, but Priester would go on to pitch four more scoreless frames before being pulled. Priester has been solid this year, posting a 4.33 ERA over five starts while posting a 17:10 K:BB ratio. Despite this, his record now sits at 0-4. He’ll look to pickup his first win of the season on Sunday against the Cubs. Rotoworld Today, 7:13 pm
    • Jesús Sánchez drives in game-winning run on Tueday
Jesús Sánchez went 1-for-4 with a game-winning groundout in the Marlins win over the Tigers on Tuesday.

Advice: Not exactly a thrilling way to earn a victory, but Sánchez had a hard-hit groundball in the top of the 10th inning that drove in a run and gave Miami a 1-0 lead. The 26-year-old is hitting just .237 on the season, but he’s making a lot of hard contact and his name was all over the Statcast bat speed and short swing leaderboards that came out this week. He’s a talented hitter, but he’s simply hitting too many groundballs right now. Still, he plays every game against right-handed pitching and hits in the middle of the Marlins’ lineup, so he’s a name you should keep an eye on. A slight approach change could lead to big results. • Beginning mound work Wednesday
Phillips (hamstring) will throw a bullpen session Wednesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Phillips has been on the injured list with a strained right hamstring since May 5, and he resumed playing catch Friday. He will presumably throw multiple bullpen sessions before progressing to facing live hitters, though he shouldn't take long to build back up as a reliever. Rotowire.com Today, 5:23 pm

    • Evan Phillips to throw bullpen session Wednesday
Evan Phillips (hamstring) is slated to throw a bullpen session on Wednesday.

Advice: It’s the first time throwing off a mound for Phillips since hitting the injured list back in early May with a Grade 1 right hamstring strain. The hope is that the 29-year-old elite stopper won’t need a rehab assignment before returning to Los Angeles’ bullpen. Rotoworld Today, 5:08 pm

    • Blake Snell to make rehab start Friday at Triple-A
Blake Snell (adductor) will make another minor league rehab start on Friday for Triple-A Sacramento.

Advice: Snell will require one additional tune-up prior to returning to San Francisco’s starting rotation at some point later next week. The 31-year-old southpaw has been on the shelf since late April due to a left adductor strain. He struck out seven batters last Sunday in a dominant rehab outing for Single-A San Jose. • Trey Lipscomb steals three bases in Nats’ win
Trey Lipscomb went 3-for-3 with an RBI and three stolen bases in the Nationals’ win over the White Sox in the opening game of Tuesday’s doubleheader.

Advice: The unheralded 23-year-old rookie ran wild in the opening contest of Tuesday’s twin bill and is already up to 10 thefts this season in just 31 contests. He doesn’t offer enough over-the-fence pop to generate interest in shallow mixers, but the speed is going to make him a factor in deeper mixed leagues going forward, especially if he’s playing everyday for Washington. • Trevor Williams finally allows homer on Tuesday
Trevor Williams was charged with three runs (one earned) over five innings on Tuesday in a no-decision against the White Sox.

Advice: Williams went 37 2/3 innings over seven starts to open the season before finally coughing up a homer when White Sox slugger Eloy Jiménez took him deep into the second inning. The 32-year-old righty hasn’t generated enough strikeouts to make a significant impact for fantasy managers, but he’s been a nice back-end rotation stabilizer in deeper mixed leagues. He’ll bring a sparkling 1.94 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 32/13 K/BB ratio across 41 2/3 innings (eight starts) into a road matchup on Sunday against the Phillies at hitter-friendly Citizens Bank Park. • Nico Hoerner scratched with hamstring tightness
Nico Hoerner was scratched from Tuesday’s lineup due to left hamstring tightness.

Advice: It sounds like a precautionary measure since Hoerner was in Chicago’s original lineup, but it’s a situation fantasy managers should keep a close eye on moving forward. The 27-year-old middle infielder should be considered day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Today, 4:24 pm
