      Advice: It looks to be nothing more than a routine day of rest for the two-time defending batting champion. Manny Machado will function as the team’s designated hitter on Wednesday while Donovan Solano will draw a start at third base and bat sixth against left-hander Austin Gomber and the Rockies. Bogaerts is still searching for a spark offensively this season, as he's slashing just .211/.264/.301 with three homers, 12 RBI, 22 runs and a 12:36 BB:K in 178 plate appearances.
