      Bivens (2-1) was the pitcher of record in Sunday's 10-4 win over the Dodgers, striking out three over five innings while allowing one earned run on four hits and no walks.

      Advice: Thrust into the rotation for his first MLB start, Bivens rolled through four shutout frames before coughing up a solo shot to Chris Taylor in the fifth inning. Since he was pitching on just two days' rest, Bivens wasn't expected to work especially deep into Sunday's outing, but he was efficient enough (41 strikes on 60 pitches) to cover five innings and qualify for the win. With the Giants designating de facto No. 5 starter Spencer Howard for assignment prior to Sunday's game, Bivens could stick around in the rotation until the likes of Kyle Harrison (ankle) and Blake Snell (groin) return from the injured list.       Paxton (7-2) allowed nine runs on 12 hits and two walks over four innings Sunday, striking out four and taking a loss against the Giants.

      Advice: Paxton gave up four runs through three frames before the Giants piled on with a five-run fourth inning. The veteran southpaw had a very odd month of June; he gave up six earned runs in 1.2 innings against the Pirates on June 5 but allowed just two total runs over his next three outings before Sunday's unraveling. Overall, he posted a 6.46 ERA this month, raising his season mark to 4.28 through 15 starts. Paxton's next start is currently lined up to be at home against the Brewers.       Grene (5-4) allowed a run on four hits and two walks over 4.2 innings Sunday, striking out six and taking a loss against the Cardinals.

      Advice: Greene kept St. Louis off the board until Alec Burleson knocked an RBI single in the fifth inning. While that was the only run charged against Greene, Cincinnati was shut out, leaving him with the tough-luck loss. While he needed 95 pitches to get through 4.2 frames, he managed to force 16 swinging strikes. Greene has failed to complete five innings in two straight outings and has just one quality start over his last six appearances.       Advice: Pfaadt carried a shutout into the fifth inning on Sunday afternoon at Chase Field before coughing up a solo shot to Zack Gelof, which represented the lone tally against him in a low-scoring affair. He generated 13 swinging strikes, utilizing his entire five-pitch arsenal in this one, and finished with a near-elite 37 percent CSW. It was the type of outing fantasy managers have been expecting more consistently this season from the 25-year-old hurler on the heels of last year’s stellar postseason run.       Spencer Bivens struck out three over five innings of one-run ball on Sunday in a win over the Dodgers.

      Advice: Bivens flummoxed Los Angeles’ star-studded lineup for four frames in his first career start, and also got plenty of run support from San Francisco’s lineup, which put up nine runs on 12 hits through four frames to open the contest. A one-out solo shot from Chris Taylor in the fifth inning represented the lone tally against him in this one. It was an impressive showing for the unheralded 30-year-old journeyman who holds a stellar 2.57 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 14/4 K/BB ratio across 14 innings (six appearances, one start). No guarantees yet, but Bivens is in line to face the Guardians on Saturday, and represents an increasingly intriguing streaming option for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues.       James Paxton was torched for nine runs on 12 hits over four innings on Sunday in a loss to the Giants.

      Advice: Paxton gave up a couple early runs before the metaphorical wheels came off completely in the fourth inning when he was obliterated for five runs on four hits, including a two-run homer by Matt Chapman, and one free pass. The dozen hits allowed were a career-high for Paxton, who struck out four and handed out a pair of walks as well. The 35-year-old southpaw had allowed just two runs combined across 16 innings of work over his previous three starts dating back to June 11.       Atlanta is expected to activate Minter (hip) from the 15-day injured list Monday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: While making his third rehab appearance for Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday, Minter tossed a scoreless inning. Assuming his left hip is feeling fine coming out of the minor-league outing, he should join Atlanta for the start of its three-game series versus the Giants.       Yonny Chirinos allowed three earned runs across 4 1/3 innings of work on Sunday. He struck out four, walked one, and the Phillies had nine hits.

      Advice: Given a large lead early, Chirinos could not get through this injury-ravaged Phillies lineup. They made lots of hard contact and ignited their huge comeback before he was chased from this game. Chirinos is unexciting filler in the Marlins’ decimated rotation.       Hunter Greene allowed one run in 4 1/3 innings and took the loss against the Cardinals on Sunday.



      Advice: Greene gave up four hits, walked two and struck out six. It was certainly better than his last start where he allowed six runs, but the Cardinals worked up his pitch count and he was unable to complete even five innings. Greene has a 3.70 ERA and 4.29 xFIP on the season. The 24-year-old right-hander is set to face the Tigers at home next weekend.
