    • Exits with injury
Megill was removed from Tuesday's game against the Cubs after getting hit in the right arm by a line drive, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: Megill entered Tuesday's game in the 10th inning and threw three pitches to Mike Tauchman before getting taking a 99-mph line drive off his right (throwing) arm. Megill immediately came out of the game and will presumably head into the clubhouse for imaging. The Brewers should have more information on his status following Tuesday's contest. • Alex Vesia notches six-out save against Mets
Alex Vesia recorded a six-out save on Tuesday against the Mets.

Advice: Vesia got the call to protect a three-run lead during the second half of Tuesday’s doubleheader at Citi Field and needed just 30 pitches (16 strikes) to record the final six outs. It was his second save of the season. There won’t be a ton of save chances for the 28-year-old lefty moving forward with closer Evan Phillips likely to return later this week from the injured list. • Raisel Iglesias nails down 13th save in win
Raisel Iglesias threw a scoreless ninth inning to earn a save in a 2-0 win over the Nationals on Tuesday.

Advice: Iglesias struck out two and didn’t allow a hit as he picked up his 13th save of the season. He doesn’t get the respect that other elite closers get, but Iglesias has been one of the most reliable options in fantasy baseball for a while now. He has a 2.21 ERA on the season and figures to remain near the league-leaders in saves as the season goes on. Rotoworld 31 minutes ago
    • Rockies outright Matt Koch to Triple-A
Rockies sent RHP Matt Koch outright to Triple-A Albuquerque.

Advice: Koch unsurprisingly went unclaimed on waivers after being designated for assignment last week by Colorado. The 33-year-old righty could wind up electing free agency, but will likely stick around as extra organizational depth. Rotoworld Today, 5:06 pm

    • Blake Treinen records first save since 2021
Blake Treinen tossed a perfect 10th inning on Tuesday against the Mets to record his first save of the season.

Advice: Treinen was summoned to protect a three-run lead in extra innings during the opening contest of Tuesday’s doubleheader at Citi Field and needed just 13 pitches (nine strikes) to hurl a flawless frame. He struck out Brett Baty, got Tomás Nido to fly out and fanned Francisco Lindor to preserve the victory. It was his first save in the majors since the 2021 campaign. Rotoworld Today, 3:58 pm

    • Adam Ottavino blows save Tuesday vs. Dodgers
Adam Ottavino allowed one run in the ninth inning on Tuesday in a blown save against the Dodgers.

Advice: Ottavino got the call over Edwin Díaz to protect a one-run lead in the final frame and wound up surrendering three straight hits, including a game-tying hit single to Chris Taylor. The veteran righty managed to wriggle out of the jam without any further damage, but the Mets wound up falling in extra innings. Not great. It’s unclear where manager Carlos Mendoza will go from here, but we’re guessing Díaz will probably wind up getting the next save chance. Rotoworld Today, 3:58 pm

    • Has upcoming bullpen
Bukauskas (triceps) will throw a bullpen Friday, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports.

Advice: Bukauskas was transferred to the 60-day injured list May 10 due a right triceps strain that had originally been classified as a lat strain when he first hit the IL on April 14. If his bullpen session goes well, he could soon progress to what would figure to be a lengthy rehab assignment. Rotowire.com Today, 2:47 pm

    • Rehab assignment on tap
Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said Tuesday that a decision on where Gallegos (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment will be made Wednesday, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The right-hander threw a live bullpen session over the weekend and had another bullpen session Tuesday, clearing him to begin a minor-league rehab assignment. Gallegos landed on the shelf with a pinched nerve in his shoulder in early May, and he should be able to rejoin the Cardinals after a short stay in the minor leagues. Rotowire.com Today, 1:56 pm
    • Keynan Middleton (forearm) suffers setback
Cardinal manager Oliver Marmol told reporters Tuesday that Keynan Middleton is undergoing additional imaging on his right forearm.

Advice: It’s yet another setback for Middleton, who has yet to throw a pitch this season for St. Louis after signing as a free agent. The 30-year-old righty started a minor league rehab assignment earlier this month, but appears to still be dealing with flexor tendon pain. There is no timetable for his return at the moment.
