    • Swipes bag in loss
McCarthy went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Rangers.

Advice: McCarthy was one of two Diamondbacks with a multi-hit effort Tuesday. He's logged a steal in each of his last two games, giving him five thefts on six attempts this season. The outfielder is 13-for-46 (.282) over 20 games in May, putting him right in line with his .284/.358/.404 slash line for the season. Rotowire.com 26 minutes ago

    • Jurickson Profar homers, knocks in three runs
Jurickson Profar had a two-run homer and an RBI single to drive in three of the Padres’ four runs Tuesday against the Marlins.

Advice: We’re still not sure what’s gotten into Profar, but he’s hitting the ball harder than ever and he’s currently boasting a .354 BABIP that’s nearly 90 points better than his career mark. He has to fade some from here, but this is the best he’s ever looked at the plate. Rotoworld 31 minutes ago

    • Jake Cronenworth goes 0-for-4 versus Marlins
Jake Cronenworth went 0-for-4 on Tuesday, leaving him 12-for-56 in his last 15 games.

Advice: Given his obvious decline in 2022 and ’23, Cronenworth was a very nice surprise to begin this year, batting .285/.349/.503 in his first 39 games. He’s slumped the last two weeks, but his exit velocity numbers are still encouraging enough to suggest that he’ll snap out of this and remain rather productive. Rotoworld 31 minutes ago

    • Tim Anderson goes 0-for-3 in loss to Padres
Tim Anderson went 0-for-3 in the loss to the Padres on Tuesday.

Advice: Anderson probably cost the Marlins the game on defense Monday, and he’s on the short list of the game’s worst hitters at .199/.235/.219 this season. A batting champ in 2019 and an All-Star in both 2021 and ’22, it’s hard to understand why he looks so finished now at age 30. Still, he’s turned into such a liability that he should not be in the major leagues at this point. Rotoworld 31 minutes ago

    • Connects for home run
Busch went 2-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and two total RBI in Tuesday's 6-3, 10-inning win over the Brewers.

Advice: Busch connected for his eighth home run of the season in the third inning, but it was only his second of the month as he's slowed down some after a hot start. Across 23 games in May, the first baseman is batting just .206 after hitting .266 in March and April. Busch should hold onto a regular role, though the Cubs have some other lineup options if they decide to mix things up. Rotowire.com Today, 8:42 pm

    • Willy Adames drives in clutch run to force extras
Willy Adames went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Adames came up clutch with a two-out, two-strike single in the bottom of the ninth to drive in Christian Yelich and tie the game at 1-1, forcing extra innings. It was Adames’ lone hit of the night, but it did extend his hitting streak to his seven games. He’s now totaled 10 hits in his last 28 at-bats. Rotoworld Today, 8:07 pm

    • Michael Busch homers, drives in two in win
Michael Busch went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Brewers.

Advice: Busch got the scoring started for the Cubs in the third when he blasted a solo homer 434 feet to center field. The homer marked Busch’s eighth of the season and his first since May 7th. Busch has hit just two homers since his five-game home run streak ended on April 16th, and he’s hitting just .206/.316/.382 this month. Rotoworld Today, 8:00 pm

    • Dealing with swollen finger
X-rays on Lindor's left index finger came back negative after he injured it on a bunt attempt during the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: Despite injuring his finger during the first game of Tuesday's action, Lindor was still able to play in the nightcap and go 1-for-4. The 30-year-old shortstop is dealing with a bit of swelling in his finger, so it's possible he sits down for a day or two until the swelling goes down; however, a long-term absence seems unlikely. • Francisco Lindor dealing with left finger injury
Francisco Lindor is dealing with a left index finger contusion.

Advice: The positive news here is that X-rays came back negative on Lindor’s finger after he hurt it attempting a bunt during Tuesday’s doubleheader against the Dodgers. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him get a couple days off for the swelling to subside. Rotoworld Today, 7:37 pm
