    • Gavin Stone twirls seven-inning gem to beat Mets
Gavin Stone recorded seven strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Tuesday in a win over the Mets.

Advice: Stone drew the starting assignment for the nightcap of Tuesday’s twin bill at Citi Field and authored one of his best outings of the year. He scattered three hits, didn’t hand out a free pass, and established a new season-high mark with seven strikeouts. The 25-year-old righty has allowed three earned runs or fewer in eight of his 10 starts this season and will bring a respectable 3.16 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 41/17 K/BB ratio across 57 innings (10 starts) into a road matchup next Wednesday against the Pirates. • José Quintana allows two homers in loss to Dodgers
José Quintana allowed three runs over six innings on Tuesday in a loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Quintana took the ball for the second game of Tuesday’s doubleheader at Citi Field and was tagged for eight hits, including homers by Will Smith and Miguel Vargas in the first and sixth inning, respectively. He notched three strikeouts and didn’t hand out a free pass. It wasn’t his worst outing of the season, but the veteran lefty got absolutely zero support from New York’s lineup in this one. He’ll bring an inflated 5.06 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 39/18 K/BB ratio across 58 2/3 innings (11 starts) into a road matchup on Monday against the Nationals. Rotoworld 48 minutes ago

    • Marcell Ozuna homers in win over Nationals
Marcell Ozuna went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over the Nationals on Tuesday.

Advice: Ozuna took Matt Barnes deep 413 feet at 107 mph off the bat to score the first run of the game. It was the only run the Braves would need. The home run was his 16th of the season to go along with 48 RBIs. With Ronald Acuna Jr hurt and Matt Olson and Austin Riley off to slower-than-normal starts, Ozuna’s performance has been crucial for Atlanta early in the season. Rotoworld 49 minutes ago

    • Joey Meneses has three hits in loss to Braves
Joey Meneses went 3-for-3 in a loss to the Braves on Tuesday.

Advice: All three of Meneses’ hits were singles, but the 32-year-old is now 10-for-32 (.313) over his last eight games with a home run and three RBI. However, he was also on the bench on Monday against a right-handed pitcher with Lane Thomas back off the injured list, so it’s possible Menses is entering into a weak-side platoon situation that would destroy his fantasy value. Keep an eye on the next few Nationals’ lineups just to make sure. Rotoworld 50 minutes ago

    • Raisel Iglesias nails down 13th save in win
Raisel Iglesias threw a scoreless ninth inning to earn a save in a 2-0 win over the Nationals on Tuesday.

Advice: Iglesias struck out two and didn’t allow a hit as he picked up his 13th save of the season. He doesn’t get the respect that other elite closers get, but Iglesias has been one of the most reliable options in fantasy baseball for a while now. He has a 2.21 ERA on the season and figures to remain near the league-leaders in saves as the season goes on. Rotoworld 51 minutes ago
    • Max Fried stymies Nationals’ bats in win
Max Fried threw eight shutout innings, allowing seven hits and striking out six in a win over the Nationals.

Advice: Fried has now allowed just one earned run over 17 innings in his last two starts. However, while he carved up the Cubs in his last time out, Fried managed without his best stuff on Tuesday. He had just nine whiffs on 45 swings for a 20 percent whiff rate and 24 percent CSW on the day; however, the Nationals were only able to muster one extra-base hit and couldn’t capitalize on their seven hits. Aces are able to produce even when they’re not executing as well as they can, and that’s exactly what Fried did tonight. He’ll now take a 2.97 ERA into a start against the A’s on Sunday. • Jake Irvin gets tough luck no decision on Tuesday
Jake Irvin threw six shutout innings, allowing just two hits and striking out 10 in a no-decision against the Braves.

Advice: Irvin kept the Braves guessing all night, allowing an average exit velocity against of just 80 mph while posting a 28 percent whiff rate and 27 percent CSW. His curve was particularly effective on Tuesday, and the right-hander now has a 3.43 ERA on the year. He does have just 54 strikeouts in 63 innings, so he doesn’t have the strikeout upside that tonight’s game would indicate, but he’s been solid all season long and could be a decent streaming option against the Guardians this weekend. • Masyn Winn extends hitting streak to 17 games
Masyn Winn went 1-for-5 with two RBI in a 7-1 win over the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: His sixth-inning double was 106 mph off the bar and extended his hitting streak to 17 games. The 22-year-old is 22-for-64 (.344) over that stretch with two home runs, 10 RBI, and three steals. He has been leading off consistently against left-handed pitching, but if the Cardinals decide to move him up in the order full-time, he could see a big fantasy boost with the likely improvement to his counting stats. • Iván Herrera has three hits in win over Reds
Iván Herrera went 3-for-5 with an RBI in a win over the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: The 23-year-old has taken over as the Cardinals’ starting catcher after the Willson Contreras injury and was also hitting clean-up on Tuesday. Nothing Herrera hit was over 84 mph on the day, but a hit is a hit in the box score. He now has a .276/.344/.362 triple slash with 16 RBI and will continue to be worth rostering in two-catcher formats while Contreras is out. Rotoworld Today, 6:32 pm
