• Three straight multi-hit games
Diaz went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and two RBI on Sunday against the Mets.

Advice: Diaz is hitting just .235 across his 150 plate appearances of the season, though his results have begun to turn around of late. Sunday marked his third straight start with two hits, and he also has a double, four RBI and a run scored in that span. Diaz has only two barrels in 114 batted ball events to begin the season, though he should continue to see hits fall in at an increased clip as he's maintained a 15.3 percent strikeout rate -- in line with his career norm. • Expected to return Monday
Burger (oblique) joined the Marlins in Los Angeles and is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's series opener versus the Dodgers, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.

Advice: On the shelf since April 15 with a left intercostal strain, Burger looks to have checked out fine after completing the final phase of his recovery process this past week, when he joined Triple-A Jacksonville for a rehab assignment. He played in three games for Jacksonville, going 3-for-11 with two runs, two walks and one RBI in addition to playing nine innings at first base and 18 innings at third base. Once activated, Burger should immediately settle back in as the Marlins' everyday option at the hot corner, resulting in Vidal Brujan and Emmanuel Rivera losing out on playing time. • First long ball of 2024
Raley went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Sunday's 5-4 win over Houston.

Advice: Raley led off the sixth inning and delivered a solo home run -- his first in 62 plate appearances this year -- to give the Mariners a 3-0 lead. Through 25 games as a backup outfielder and first baseman, Raley is batting .230 with six runs scored and four RBI while striking out at a 29.7 percent clip. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:28 pm

  • Spencer Torkelson has two doubles, RBI in loss
Spencer Torkelson went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and an RBI as the Tigers fell to the Yankees on Sunday afternoon in New York.

Advice: Torkelson smacked a two-out double off of Nestor Cortes in the second inning, but was left stranded there. He then got the Tigers on the board with a run-scoring double off of Ian Hamilton in the seventh inning. He’s still searching for his first home run of the season, but he does have 11 doubles and perhaps his bat is finally showing some signs of life. On the season, he’s slashing .216/.283/.304 with 12 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:05 pm
  • Jon Singleton hits third homer in loss to Astros
Jon Singleton went 2-for-4 and hit a two-run homer Sunday against the Mariners.

Advice: It sure seems like the Astros were missing out by not going from José Abreu to Singleton earlier. Joey Loperfido still might wind up as Houston’s first baseman, but Singleton has earned himself a longer look by hitting .268 with three homers in his 16 starts this year. • Back to baseball work
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Sunday that LeMahieu (foot) recently resumed hitting but that the veteran infielder may not be "that close to being ready for rehab [games]," Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The 35-year-old was shut down for a week in late April after he experienced swelling in his foot during a rehab game, and he's now back to taking part in baseball activities. It's an encouraging development following the setback, but LeMahieu still has some work to do in his recovery before again being cleared for minor-league action. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:35 pm

  • Brandon Drury goes 0-for-4 in loss to Guardians
Brandon Drury went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in the loss to the Guardians on Sunday.

Advice: Drury is fortunate injuries have left his playing time unchallenged, since he’s struggled mightily in hitting .161/.225/.215. His strikeout rate is actually down, but his power has followed, and he’s been pretty unlucky when it comes to picking up singles. Still, he’ll probably have until Anthony Rendon returns to snap out of it. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:20 pm

  • Idle against lefty
O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

Advice: The lefty-hitting O'Hearn finds himself on the bench for the second day in a row while Cincinnati brings another southpaw (Nick Lodolo) to the hill. O'Hearn's absence will allow the Orioles to give infielder Gunnar Henderson a day off playing defense, as the third-year player instead serves as Baltimore's designated hitter. • Exiting starting nine Sunday
Davis is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: Following a stint on the 10-day injured list due to an adductor strain, Davis was activated Friday and had started at first base in both of his first two games back in action, going 2-for-7 with a run scored between those contests. The Athletics haven't indicated that Davis suffered a setback in his recovery from the injury, so his absence Sunday is presumably a pre-planned maintenance day. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:01 pm
