    Woods Richardson allowed a hit and a walk over six shutout frames in a no-decision Monday. He struck out eight during the win over Seattle.

    Advice: Woods Richardson struck out the first four batters he faced and five of the first six through two perfect frames. Only one Mariner reached scoring position against him as he turned in the best outing of his MLB career. The 23-year-old righty generated 10 whiffs, matching his season high.     Clevinger (0-1) took the loss Monday, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits and four walks over two innings against Tampa Bay. He had no strikeouts.

    Advice: Clevinger looked rough in his season debut Monday against the Rays, generating just one whiff from his 54 pitches. It was the second time he has failed to generate a strikeout in a start during his eight-year career -- first done Sept. 24, 2023 against Boston. The Rays left-hander has pitched to the tune of a 4.96 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 30:10 K:BB over 32.2 innings this season.     Advice: Alexander set a season-high in strikeouts on Monday and has looked good over his past five starts following a rough start to the season. The only runs off Alexander came from a two-run home run from Tommy Pham. Other than that, the 29-year-old was in control and now holds a 4.96 ERA, 1.38 WHIP with a 30/10 K/BB ratio across 32 2/3 innings.   • Mike Clevinger allows four runs in two innings against Rays
    Mike Clevinger allowed six hits, three earned runs with zero strikeouts in two innings against the Rays on Monday.

    Advice: It was a brutal debut for Clevinger who couldn’t make it past the second inning. Most of the damage came in the second frame when Clevinger allowed two singles, a double and a walk that resulted in three Tampa Bay runs.     Anderson (2-4) took the loss Monday, allowing four runs on six hits and three walks over 6.1 innings against Pittsburgh. He struck out five.

    Advice: Anderson allowed all four runs Monday night on one swing -- a 424-foot grand slam by Edward Olivares in the third inning. Although the Angels southpaw sports a 2.74 ERA in 42.2 innings, tougher times may lie ahead, as he has been aided greatly by a .205 BABIP.     Simeon Woods Richardson struck out eight over six scoreless innings in a no-decision Monday against the Mariners.

    Advice: Woods Richardson and Luis Castillo battled zero-for-zero for most of the contest, with the Twins breaking through after Woods Richardson departed the game. He allowed just a hit and a walk, and didn’t see a single runner advance into scoring position while he was in the game. This was a much improved effort from Tuesday’s lackluster outing against the White Sox, and at times, the Mariners looked flat-out overmatched.     Tyler Anderson allowed four earned runs in 6 1/3 innings in a loss against the Pirates on Monday.

    Advice: Anderson has recorded a loss in four of his past five starts after picking up back-to-back wins in his first two starts of the season. His ERA has ballooned from 1.78 to 2.74 over his last two starts as the 34-year-old has given up 3 or more earned runs in those contests.     Blake Snell (adductor) will face live hitters for three innings Tuesday.

    Advice: Snell came away from his bullpen session over the weekend well, and will now progress to facing hitters in as simulated setting.
