    • Ryan McMahon homers in second straight contest
Ryan McMahon went 2-for-3 with a solo homer on Wednesday in the Rockies’ loss to the Twins.

Advice: McMahon has snapped out of an extended tailspin at the dish with homers in back-to-back contests after taking Twins ace Pablo López deep in the fourth inning of this one for his 12th round-tripper of the season. The 29-year-old infielder has been a reliable power source, but his batting average has been all over the place as he oscillates between hot and cold stretches. Rotoworld Wednesday, 2:05 pm

    • On base four times in win
Kwan went 3-for-4 with a walk, two doubles, a run scored and two RBI in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Reds.

Advice: The 26-year-old outfielder just keeps raking. Kwan has hit safely in seven straight games since returning from a hamstring injury at the end of May, batting a blistering .520 (13-for-25) over that stretch, and the only thing keeping him from leading the majors with his .380 batting average is the time he missed due to the injury, as he doesn't yet have enough plate appearances to qualify. Kwan's 3-for-7 performance on the basepaths is a bit troubling, but with four homers and 38 runs through 39 contests, he's on pace for career highs in both categories. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:39 am

    • Collects AL-leading 20th save
Clase gave up a run on two hits and struck out two in the ninth inning Tuesday to record his 20th save of the season in a 5-3 win over the Reds.

Advice: He made things interesting with two outs in the ninth, allowing an RBI single to Jonathan India and then plunking Blake Dunn to bring the winning run to the plate, but Clase got TJ Friedl to line out to Brayan Rocchio to end the threat. The right-hander has converted seven straight save chances, putting him one ahead of the Yankees' Clay Holmes for the AL lead in the category, and despite getting tagged for runs in each of his last two appearances, Clase sports a dazzling 0.84 ERA, 0.68 WHIP and 34:3 K:BB through 32.1 innings on the season. • Nails down eighth save
Scott struck out three over two perfect innings Tuesday to record his eighth save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Mets.

Advice: The lefty fired 22 of 31 pitches for strikes in perhaps his most impressive performance of the season. Scott hasn't allowed a run since the beginning of May and seems to have solved the control issues that plagued him early in the year -- over his 13-appearance scoreless streak he has a 0.73 WHIP and 18:6 K:BB through 15 innings, recording four wins, four saves and a hold. • Logs steal in loss
Garcia went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 10-1 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Garcia has three steals over his last seven games, but he's gone just 5-for-32 (.156) in that span. He surged at the plate over the second half of May, but it appears he's leveled off again. The third baseman is slashing .251/.299/.373 with 16 steals, five home runs, 36 RBI and 43 runs scored over 66 contests out of the leadoff spot for the Royals. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:48 pm

    • Takes loss against Pirates
Helsley (2-3) took the loss Tuesday against Pittsburgh, allowing two runs on one hit and two walks with a strikeout over one inning.

Advice: Helsley took the mound in the top of the ninth with the score 0-0, but he couldn't keep the game at a stalemate. The 29-year-old walked Jack Suwinski, yielded a single to Andrew McCutchen and walked Bryan Reynolds to load the bases with no outs. Suwinski and McCutchen ended up coming around to score before Helsley was able to record three outs, marking the closer's first loss since April 19 and bumping his ERA up from 2.25 to 2.79 through 29.0 innings. • Snags win Tuesday
Suarez (3-0) pitched 1.1 perfect innings and earned the win Tuesday over the Athletics.

Advice: Suarez kept the game tied at 3-3 during his appearance, and Kyle Higashioka delivered a walk-off blast for the Padres in the ninth inning. This was just Suarez's third appearance in June, as save chances have been rare for the Padres recently -- the team lost six of eight games prior to the start of this week's series versus the Athletics. Suarez has been dominant in the closer role with a 0.64 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 27:6 K:BB over 28.1 innings while converting all 17 of his save chances and adding one hold. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:59 pm
    • Notches pair of hits
McMahon went 2-for-4 with a double, a solo homer and an additional run during Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Twins.

Advice: McMahon generated his first multi-hit game since May 22, scoring in the sixth inning after reaching on a double and then swatting a solo homer off Cole Sands in the eighth inning. The third baseman had been in a rut prior to Tuesday's game, going 2-for-29 with two runs and no RBI in the past seven games. Still, McMahon owns a .788 OPS with 11 home runs across 66 games this year. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:40 pm

    • Tanner Scott gets two-inning save
Tanner Scott pitched two scoreless innings, striking out three to secure his eighth save in a 4-2 win over the Mets on Tuesday.

Advice: Scott was brought in to face the heart of the Mets order in the eighth inning and then stayed in to close out the game after the Marlins gave him an extra run of cushion in the top of the ninth. The left-hander has now walked six batters and struck out eighteen in 15 innings since the start of May. That hasn’t led to many saves with Miami not producing many wins, but Scott has seemed to put his early season control issues behind him. For now. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:58 pm
