    • Getting afternoon off
Wong is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Advice: Wong will get the afternoon off after he started behind the plate both of the past two days, going 2-for-8 with an RBI between those contests. Reese McGuire will draw the start at catcher in the series finale. Rotowire.com 50 minutes ago
    • Homers in loss
Duran went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 11-1 loss to the Padres.

Advice: Duran launched his eighth home run in 82 games, tying the career high he set last season over 102 games. He's finishing off what may be the best month of his career; he's batting .365/.417/.615 with five home runs and 15 RBI in June. Rotowire.com Today, 6:15 am
    • Logan O’Hoppe homers again Saturday vs. Tigers
Logan O’Hoppe slugged a game-tying solo shot on Saturday, leading the Angels to an eventual extra-inning victory over the Tigers.

Advice: O’Hoppe’s eighth-inning blast -- his 12th round-tripper of the season -- came off Los Angeles reliever Logan Vest to open the frame. He finished 2-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts in the extra-inning affair. The 24-year-old’s promising, albeit injury-shortened, showing from last year has carried over into this season as he’s on pace to get pretty close to the lofty 30-homer mark, which is extremely rare for a modern-era backstop. He’s gone deep three times in his last six games and five times overall since June 1. Rotoworld Today, 3:34 am

    • Rare steal in loss
Alonso went 2-for-4 with a walk, two RBI and one stolen base in Saturday's 9-6 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Alonso's steal was just his second of the year, as speed is rarely a factor in his play. He's got plenty of reason to feel optimistic with his performance lately -- the first baseman has gone 15-for-46 (.326) over his last 12 contests while adding 14 RBI in that span. Overall, Alonso is at a .244/.330/.472 slash line with 17 home runs, 46 RBI, 46 runs scored and 19 doubles through 80 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:20 pm
    • Kwan has two-hit game in win over Royals Saturday
Steven Kwan went 2-for-5 with a run scored against the Royals on Saturday.

Advice: Kwan had only one hit in his last three games, but bounced back with a two-hit game in Kansas City. Kwan has scored 49 runs in 55 games this year. He’s hitting .371 with a .969 OPS and 24 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:09 pm

    • Ramirez blasts 23rd home run in win Saturday
Jose Ramirez went 2-for-5 with two runs scored, a double, a solo home run and two RBI against the Royals on Saturday.

Advice: Ramirez’ home run was his 23rd of the season. He had an RBI double in the fifth inning to give the Guardians a 4-2 lead. He scored on Josh Naylor’s RBI double to make it 5-2 and his home run in the seventh inning made it 7-2. Ramirez is hitting .280 with an .890 OPS and 75 RBI on the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:05 pm
    • Jarren Duran swats homer in blowout defeat
Jarren Duran hit a solo homer in a blowout loss to the Padres on Saturday.

Advice: Duran took Michael King deep in what ended up being the only run of the game for the Red Sox in the sixth inning. It also came with Boston trailing 10-0, but still counts just the same. Duran has been nothing short of spectacular in June with a .366/.420/.594 slash, and he’s now up to eight homers and 38 RBI to go along with his 20 stolen bases across the 2024 campaign. • X-rays come back negative for Juan Soto (hand)
Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone told reporters after Saturday’s loss to the Blue Jays that X-rays on the injured right hand of superstar outfielder Juan Soto came back negative for any fractures.

Advice: The 25-year-old superstar injured himself while sliding headfirst into home plate during Friday’s battle against the Jays. The team has an off-day on Monday, so it seems very likely that he’ll rest again on Sunday before hopefully being able to return to the Bombers’ lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Reds. • X-rays return negative
Soto's (hand) X-rays came back negative Saturday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Soto sustained a right hand contusion sliding into home during Friday's game and was scratched from the Yankees' lineup Saturday. With his X-rays coming back negative, it appears as though Soto has avoided structural damage and a long-term injury. With a team off day coming Monday, it wouldn't be surprising to see Soto sit again Sunday as a precaution. Oswaldo Cabrera started in right field Saturday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:14 pm
